šŗšø Iāve been at the #IHSA almost 16 years & have heard A LOT of high school students sing the anthem. Iāve also been to my fair share of college/pro sporting events. The rendition Joliet Westās Payton Fraser gave at state girls basketball on Saturday was as good as Iāve heard.

After struggling to get through 7th grade basketball practice last October, Kade Leesman was diagnosed with Leukemia. He went through hell, but fought to come back for his eighth grade season only to break his arm in the opener. He got a bucket on 8th grade night š„² #SCTop10

Sad to hear the #IHSA beat won't include @DaveKaneSJR & @deuceandabuse this fall. Both were tireless workers who loved preps & gave high school sports the BIG TIME treatment. Both should be commended for their careers, and both will be missed. Best of luck to Dave & Darren!.

What a ride Heyworth Junior High Hoops took us on this winterā¦. š 7th Grade (26-1).-SVC Champs.-IESA Class 3A Regional Champs. š 8th Grade (19-9 after 3-7 start).-SVC Champs.-IESA Class 3A Regional Champs as #4 seed. Both lost to Metamora a game shy of state.

My @HilltoppersFB team played Coach Ryan in the '99 state @IHSAState title game & I'll never forget the respect that Coach Sharp had him as a coach & person. Got to meet & work with him when I got to the #IHSA years later & found him to be a class act on and off the field.

@michaelsobrien @RyanEasterling @FotR1861 U of I/IHSA eliminated pay to park on-site this year by adding in parking cost as an additional $3 to ticket cost. NIU did the same last year. Makes it easier on host as they donāt have to staff lots, handle money, make change, etc.

Sad to see @ZachKerker and his collection of leatherbound books leave the #IHSA scene. Few did it better and even fewer were as big a pain in the ass while doing so. Good luck and Godspeed to one of the good guys whom Iām proud to call a colleague and friend.
So, year six at 1450 was my last. The sport community in this area has been so good to me. Youāre my people. Iāll miss the beat & mostly the kids, but Iām ready to see my family more. Trust that @channel1450com is in great hands.
