xiv raiders can have the pull of their life and wipe to something 17 minutes in from ddos, and we'll all sigh and just try again. xiv fishers can have the first ever window for a fish in 7 months, and they'll get ddos'd as it pops, and that's a measure of tragedy i cannot fathom.
The #FFXIV DDOS'rs are playing a dangerous game with the XIV fishing community. One poorly timed DDOS at a Cinder window and there will be an all out Fishers Rise Up moment.

this is the scariest fucking change we could ever see because WHAT is in dawntrail that requires one of the most rigid abilities in the game, something that endlessly comes in clutch or helps your rotation, to suddenly get a shorter cooldown.

the surreal experience being in Radz-at-Han, just checking in with the NPCs there after completing the level 85 quest, thinking "wow, this can't get much worse, can it" and then looking at my FC list and seeing Mitzu in a place called The Final Day.
The FFXIV early expac release experience is being in a zone named like "Hyrath Highlands" and doing quests called "Toad-all Recall" and you check your friend list and your buddy's location is listed as "That Which Surrenders To Suffering" or just "Conflagration".

Gonna be blunt and not try to be cynical, but the game does have other things, if you wish to pursue them. Statics for blue content, Triple Triad hunting, beast tribes, free company airships, working the in-game economy for money via crafting, achievement hunting.
Not usually a fan of journalism in FF14 due to constant misinformation and/or dickriding, but this PC Gamer article has it spot on. Glad to see that issues with the game's monotony is felt by an increasingly broad audience. Needs to change. Link below if you care to read it.
