Right. Singular focus on Test Positivity without context is foolish. Testing a LOT of people every day who aren't sick doesn't give you meaningful data. It also doesn't stop the virus from spreading.
What it does do is spend $$$, keep people afraid, and keep kids out of school.

Not the case for infection or transmission. They fooled us for a while by using the 14-day definition and burying the infections during that window, but that’s no longer doable.
