I went to the movie theater last night and when the new Twisters trailer played on the big screen, I damn near lost my mind!!!! JULY 19TH LETS GOOOOOO

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! I spent most of it playing Vampire Survivors, watching Ted, and wondering when the weather is gonna pop off again lol

What a great night! It was such a fun surprise seeing those storms pass by. The cell service has been very limited here, but i happened to hear this guy say to his friends "yeah it's coming I can see those storms on my radar!" i had to run not walk to the pier 😂😂
Having wheat fields in your backyard is a major perk!!! While I was staring at this gorgeous sunset, all I could think is how spectacular the view will be as storm fronts approach (maybe as early as next Tuesday??)

Can't believe its already been 1 year since the 3/31/23 outbreak! I'll never forget watching this nasty QLCS approaching from my west. One of the many tornadoes that day caused EF-0 damage less than 5 minutes from my apt. The next day I drove over to observe the tree damage

I got a promotion at work!!! I feel insanely lucky, but I also have major imposter syndrome 😭
On a funny note all my coworkers are telling me to stay in touch so they can get my regular weather updates lmao

I've never owned a dog before until today...meet Butters!! (yes partially based off of South Park lmao)! She's a sweet almost 2 year old who had 11 puppies that all got adopted. She looked so sad and scared at the shelter, but she has already made herself at home 😭💕
Tomorrow marks 10 years since Winter Storm Maximus!

Jan 31st-Feb 1st, 2014 - I'll never forget falling down easily 3 times while walking around campus because ISU didn't salt their sidewalks lmao. This system brought in pretty heavy snow/freezing rain due to...

The 6/29/2012 Derecho:
At the time I took this photo, I had NO idea that I was witnessing the beginning of a monster Derecho, I just thought it looked cool! But during the afternoon/evening of Friday, June 29, 2012, a powerful line of thunderstorms
Just reached 500 followers!! Thanks so much for following me! Super happy to have found a community that's just as passionate about weather as I am lol 😁🌪
I talk about weather so much that my thoughtful coworkers put together weather trivia questions during today's team meeting before I transition to my new role!! 🥹

Throwback to 2/16/23 when I had just taught myself how to read radar. This rainwrapped tornado near Smithville was the first TDS I ever recognized! Luckily this missed town by a few miles, and it took my passion for weather to a whole other level!!! 🌪❤️
I was making myself spaghetti when all of the sudden my rainbow senses started tingling. Sure enough I walked onto the balcony and found this beauty 🌈🍝😂
November 17th, 2013! I was at Illinois State University and lived on the top floor. Will never forget the power going out while running down 11 flights of stairs as the RA's voice was crackling over the intercom to get to the basement 🫣
Wishing the happiest birthday to

My work friend lives in O'Fallon, MO right where that rotation passed over yesterday, and just LOOK at this hail damage she sent me. Tons of people with broken windshields, skylights, sun roofs, etc!

If I don't win this Chili Cookoff Competition tomorrow I'm gonna be PISSED lmao.
My dish name is "Chili Wonka" and that alone should be enough to win 🤣
I love summertime!! Here is a fun start of summer memory from 13 years ago when a strong line of severe thunderstorms moved through northern IL. I was in Schiller Park that night and watched a huge tree crush the trampoline in my aunt's backyard. No the tree didn't bounce 😂

storms:
April 30th, 2022 - The SPC had outlined a slight risk of severe weather for most of IL. Strong surface winds were expected (especially in southern IL), and these storms would quickly move north east. The main limiting factor for more sig. tornadoes
Now that the Dominator 3 is fixed and ready for
