I want to one day get a big block of land in a rural area and get a bunch of these women and build some housing and grow own vegetables, have some chooks, etc. Like a little community supporting eachother sounds funny but its my dream.

Not everyone is able to work, disabled for example . Poor health, can't find a job, ageism etc. There are many reasons people can't work.

The cost of necessities is never ending but he is one step away from saying how dare poor people buy something nice. There's nothing wrong with buying fun things, why should only the wealthy be allowed to buy anything that's not strictly a 'necessity '. ๐

Caught up with a friend 4 lunch today. That's a big step for someone with social anxiety. I was thinking of starting a meet up support group thing in Melbourne for people over 40 with anxiety. Just to go 4 walks in a park or other low cost activities.

Wow, that's awful. I volunteered with them years ago, and we couldn't keep up with the number of calls. It was exhausting too, and then we had to document the call afterward.

Anyone can get sick and end up disabled. There's no more sickness allowance and it's nearly impossible to get DSP and since lifting the retirement age there will be many in their 50s and 60s who won't get hired due to their age. The system is becoming more cruel.

Woolworths delivery offer the nearest replacement if what you order isn't available. My mum ordered bananas and got a replacement which was a bag of dessicated coconut. Today instead of sausages, these were replaced with 2 limes. ๐คช

I'm forcing myself 2b more social. I met a school friend at work (by chance) today & a friend is coming from UK in Nov. I also sent a message to a friend I haven't seen in 10 years to catch up & she's interested ! I need to keep it up as it takes effort 4 a major introvert!!!

I Don't think its the WFH as the city is often very busy. I think they're just over priced and don't offer good value 4 money and there's too many cheaper and better quality options around. The cost of living is higher now & they're too greedy & they failed 2 adapt

I was on Centrelink in the 90s and there were no mutual obligations or agencies. It was enough to live on too. I was able to find work for myself as that was easier then too.

Just went for a 40 minute walk in the sun, around the local parks. While it is not a cure for anxiety, it did help. ๐ณ

You know I was getting job seeker in the mid 90s and it wasn't much less than people get now, but things weren't so expensive back then so I was able to live on it. Even then it still fell short but I can't imagine how anyone could live on it these days. It's impossible.
