@hannahgreich I won't be able to this year since I'm teaching. I'm sure someone from SEA will be there though!

@_ACC94 if your issue is falling asleep, keep your bedroom cold and try melatonin. I've found quitting work by 7 helps me sleep better, too.

@HeatherCaslin I literally block off time on my calendar. Setting up virtual co-working sessions help. But yeah, it's tough and I'm still trying to find more balance 5 years later.

@ZJAyres Fire alarms that flash and flash is visible from all areas of the lab. Would also love to see this in student offices (for deaf). Depends on where lab meetings are held, but have captions be automatically turned on.

@shannonbgoode It sounds like it could be burnout. Can you implement changes to take a long break, shift work-life balance (whatever that looks like for you), and/or do a fun, new passion project?

@okonski_s I wasn't intending to take a gap year but nobody had funding for PhD students. So, I worked in 2 labs at my undergrad uni. Looking back, glad I had a break from studying and more time to spend on grad school apps. Gained valuable mentorship exp, too!
