@Milo_AFC haha i can’t imagine that would have helped things! i haven’t seen it again since i saw it in the cinema, and can’t even remember what specifically I didn’t vibe with, hoping i might appreciate it a bit more now, or maybe it is just a weaker effort from him? must revisit it.

went to see NOSFERATU again – without hiding behind my hands this time – and yeah, it’s just stunning. obsessed with the cinematography, editing and everything willem dafoe is doing. robert eggers, you’ve done it again! my full review for @not_too_loud:

despite julia fox’s best efforts in the opening minutes, i wasn’t sold on PRESENCE. its unique POV hook is a cool idea but ends up feeling more of a gimmick than an actual asset to the storytelling. sadly, it’s all a bit dull. my REVIEW for @not_too_loud:

@richardgdavis clint mansell is great! the fountain is still on my to watch list though, but at least i know i’ve a great score to look forward to. his work on loving vincent is one of my faves.

@scotthgilliland ah that’s interesting as i do remember being slightly underwhelmed by that film. have stuck the score on now, always looking more for my instrumental playlist.
