you should never reward an elephant for breaking down a fence. you should nail its feet to the floor and starve it until the fence will hold.

@vanillaopinions i think he’s the first vice president to ever do the job correctly, campaign for the continuation of the administration in the next election. other than voting on tiebreakers in the Senate, what else is there for a VP to do? message on behalf of the President.

@EastEndJoe @DOGE the whole point of the super bowl is to project american soft power. its fighter jets, fireworks, giant flag, national anthem, budweiser and coors, rah rah rah, USA. of course the president should be there. you know who shouldn’t be there? taylor swift.

absent a sovereign wealth fund, yes, that’s the only option. (well, that and kill as many old people as you can with biologically engineered flu virus). if we had taken the deal that george w bush offered america, to privatize social security in 2004, not only would we not be talking about a bankrupt welfare state, we’d be sitting on trillions of dollars of assets. that doesn’t mean you can get that deal again, 2004 is gone, but it is to say, that’s the only model i’ve ever seen or heard of that would have resolved this matter to everyone’s satisfaction.
