Today, I had an opportunity to join the @ilo Specialist on Occupational Safety and Health #OSH for Eastern and Southern Africa Ms. @MunkawaPenny (left) in a meeting with the #OSHA Chief Inspector Ms.Khadija Mwendwa (middle). The meeting discussed inter alia the @ilodaressalaam collaboration with government and social partners on strengthening #OSH system and ratification of ILO Conventions No.155 and No.187. Ms. Penny congratulated OSHA and government for the steps taken in ratifying the fundamental conventions and the continued collaboration with ILO country office Dar. OSHA acknowledge the continued ILO technical assistance on OSH related matters in the country. Ms. Penny is on official mission in Tanzania for Capacity building of #OSHA technical staffs, social partners and other stakeholders from workplaces on strengthening systems for data reporting and notification of incidences of OSH hazards, injuries, accidents and diseases planed from 12 - 14 February 2025 in Dodoma.
