2:24.14= way off PB/2.19 target but couldn’t get in a group to work with for 80% of the race in mad winds.

My 2nd marathon but want to share a motivation tip; dedicate each mile to someone. Obviously fam/friends feature but so many came to me that I train/work with. People that had given me a chance, believed in me, inspired me. Surround yourself with great people &great things happen

Sadly race too far for injury from IM-Den 8wks ago. Great start with 1.00 swim & 4.48 bike but quad went with 50km to go so had to walk EVERY hill on run(3.45)
Proud of how I dug in & kept my ‘non DNF’ record tho! 9hr48 DONE! Thx for the support all; means a lot. Off to get fat!

Beachy Head 3rd place including a 400m detour when leading at 7k! 🤦🏼♂️😂
Burnt too many matches to regain lead at 23k and held it with 8-9k to go but quad cramps hit and had to just hold on!
Still super pleased - course was ace, Marshall’s amazing and winner a top man👏

My first IM

in 8hr55. 0:55 swim, 4:46 bike & run, thru 21k in 1:25...but mile 15 unreal quad cramps I couldnt shift! 11mile walk/run in 3:07. SO happy though & amazing organisation. Kona still poss but really grateful for those that came to support🙌❤️
