COACHES! After developing a new zone defense, coaches from around the world began to implement it. Here's a glimpse into the power of The Chase Defense... if u want more info, my email is in the video:
The mythical no dip shot from Klay, plus sprinting to his right. This is the absolute hardest type of catch and shoot there is for a righty, and the pinnacle of shooting skill
This analysis is perfect…. If they were playing in college or HS. The NBA doesn’t count the foot on the floor when dribble ends, so this play is perfectly legal.
The mythical "punching the ball" rule I had NEVER seen called before. Did u know this rule was part of the original 13 Rules Of Basketball Naismith came up with when he invented the game? Of course, Trae Young did immediately
Here's an even better angle to see how
@Dame_Lillard
has the ball more in his palm, finger pads coming off the ball when wrist is in full extension, before making contact with the ball again on the release. Truly unique, and perhaps a secret to his deep shot making
In a 3pt game, with 23 seconds left, all 3 referees missed this obvious foul on DeAndre Ayton, who does the old pro trick of pulling Jokic’s shoulder down with his inside hand as he goes to tip it with the other arm. This type of thing has been missed way too often this season.
In the 23 games to start the season where Jeremy Sochan shot a traditional free throw, he hit only 45.8% of them. In the 6 games since he went to the no bounce one-hander, he's at 71.4%
Just when we thought Dame was completely unique when his shooting hand fingers come off the ball before he goes into the release, there's another very popular player who does the same thing! 🤯😮🏀
LeBron with another hop travel on his spin move. You’re simply not allowed to gather the ball (end the dribble with both hands on it) with a foot on the floor and then hop on that same foot. The fans behind the bench clearly follow this account
Suns fans should be livid. In order for a time out to be called, the Lakers needed to have possession of the ball. It is clearly not controlled by Reaves as the ball is already free by the time LeBron is turning to the ref with the time out signal. This would’ve tied the game
Luka Doncic is shooting a God-like 65.2% from 17' to the 3pt line. For context, Khris Middleton led the NBA in the regular season from this range at 58.8%
And get this: Luka ranks 2nd in the playoffs in this category, behind...... Kyrie Irving (66.7%)
Watch Kyrie (angrily) direct Kleber down court faster. This stretches the defense and opens up the narrowest of seams to skip a pass to the trailing Lively.
Everyone raves about Drew Timme's footwork but it's time to expose what's really happening down low - snitching if you will - since he's gaining a huge advantage
#gonzaga
This is the kind of play that freaks me out about Wembanyama. He’s going to be setting hundreds of ball screens this year, and he’s got to keep his feet under his knees better 😳
The Warriors call a hammer okay where Wiggins was screening for Klay. Lebron sniffs this out immediately and directs AD to switch. What Draymond did getting stuck in the air with no pass means they don’t deserve to win this game.
If you do this move in a pickup game, and anyone on the court tries to argue it’s a travel, you can always FaceTime me right there on the fricking court and I’ll straighten them out.
More Jokic genius, as he baits the Celtics into a lane violation to give Aaron Gordon another free throw. Crowd can chant “BS” all they want but it doesn’t change the reality

The TV analysis was troubling on this one. As an offensive player, Luka has the right to cut to a different spot on the floor. Dort has his arms around Luka, and then pulls him down with his left hand to make it look like Luka knocked him over. This is an obvious blocking foul.
This Jokic play is fantastic, but actually kinda basic footwork. He ends the dribble with both feet in the air, lands on a jump stop. He’s allowed to pivot, and he simply lifts one foot, plants it and jumps. He could’ve taken another step if he wanted. Perfectly legal!
Solomon Hill hadn’t played a second in the playoffs because his FedEx plane crashed near an island in the deep Pacific, where he befriended a volleyball named Wilson
According to the rules, this charge will be overturned. Clearly, LeBron is not square to Wiggins. Kinda silly warriors need to waste a challenge on an obvious call
Watch how Jokic checks where his teammates are while the pass is in the air on its way to him, before taking advantage of the mismatch himself. Remarkable.
Here’s an atrocious call on PJ Washington. He gathers the ball at the moment he lands with both feet down. He’s absolutely allowed to lift whichever foot he wants to step thru on.
So, refs have traditionally not deemed this first contact into a bounce as a controlled dribble. Which is why Klay is allowed to shot fake and drive afterwards.
So I like Sabonis and appreciate his skills. But there is a distinct lack of post moves, other than batter his man with his shoulder. Funny that he wanted to complain about this clear offensive foul.
Steph Curry the past 7 games:
40.9 PTS
4.9 AST
6.1 REB
57.1 FG%
52.4% 3FG
90.2% FT
73.6% eFG
77.1% TS
This has to be the greatest shooting stretch of his career. In that same timeframe, ONE player (min 20min/game) has eclipsed him in eFG%. Guess who? (hint: 🐐)
I'm unaware of a situation where illegal contact to the head can be ignored if the defender touches the ball first. That said, the contact with the ball & the head occurs simultaneously. The foul was reviewed and overturned- one of the worst successful challenges I've seen
Well, I know Klay Thompson must be pissed watching this be a no call, and also confirms what I said yesterday: this isn’t always called when arms stays bent
