Good characters are humanly flawed, not badass, and not your power fantasy rug.
The curtains were not just blue.
End-sentence period means seriousness.

This character is secretly terrifying, because it is implied that the reason he's not like this 24/7 is due to the fact that things had always been going well for his fragile ego.
To become a competent writer, you must constantly delude yourself into thinking that you write for an intelligent audience because the alternative would be disastrous
@JavierWoT

Quit pretending you guys somehow cared about Sasha. You'd be shit talking her character the same way you people do with Connie's if she hadn't been killed off.
@sk3736
@shadowpiIIar
People usually underestimate how universally relatable the human struggle is for everyone, no matter your sex, gender identity, sexuality, race, religion etc. The problems may look different for every social group, but everybody needs and desires the same fundamental things.
@PeterOliva00
It already happened to Fight Club, Breaking Bad, The Matrix, American Psycho, South Park, and many more. Shits jump in wholeheartedly believing that these pieces of media validate their hateful paleocon delusions because they are so close-minded they lack basic media literacy.
@cloudynyxx
Meatheads would hate Shinji for being human and acting vulnerable. A lot more people would complain about the sexual themes, and there would be a reached consensus on the series being "not that deep" and the ending sucking because there is no narrator telling them what to think.
@panos_expu
More than that, Eren's dream for the outside world places mainly differs from that of his friend in that he focuses on the "right and freedom to physically visit them", while Armin's focus is rather purer and more about the beauty and experiences he'd gain visiting them.
@delmoi
@goodguylegy
Rapey, sure, Denji, Denji, the character who constantly asks for consent every time he's pursuing his horny goals. He never steps forward unless the girl says yes.
Notice how Disney lays out their film schedule like they're selling us their next line of smartphones or burger menus. So sickening! It really puts into perspective what their main views on cinema as an art form really are: a commodity product.
@gusterafu_00
I'd say the primary motivation for Eren was that. Armin's book thing is not to be taken literally, it's more of a representation, a metaphor for what he dreamed the outside world to be. He doesn't have the freedom to visit that place, because humans made its existence impossible
What the 🦆 are you talking about? First off, you don't get to speak for the whole AoT fanbase, most of which would be more than happy to disregard you as a hateful loser.
As a gay Attack On Titan fan, it's such a shame to encounter this kind of ignorance being spread online.
@AoTJewels
As an Attack on titan fan this is such a shame thing to tweet about , we don’t believe in these kind of relationships there is only man-women relationship in our life , don’t but these disgusting agenda in our beloved anime!!
@LadyBelleelmore
We need to remember that Thorfinn's mental development stalled once he decided to follow Askeladd around; and it wasn't until farmland that he could resume growing up mentally. Things that he would've realistically learned, like, at age 7, had to come up newly to him in his 20's.
Attack on Titan arcs:
Prologue. 6/10
Trost. 8/10
The Female Titan. 9/10
Clash of Titans. 8/10
Uprising. 10/10
Return to Shiganshina. 10/10
Marley. 10/10
War for Paradis. 10/10
My top 4: (Not much difference)
4- Return to Shiganshina
3- Marley
2- Uprising
1- War for Paradis
I'll clumsily and briefly explain why you're wrong and why AoT is the opposite of pro-fascism, thus hopefully changing your mind and helping you improve on your media literacy and peer-pressure issues:
@PandaCroft
@genospsychos
Eren being violent in response to violence, having black/white morality as a child, and not feeling guilt over killing two men that people unanimously agree deserved to die, all while he was explicitly acting to save someone, is not that good of an example of nature over nurture.
@sk3736
@LadyBelleelmore
It was already established that pure titans can go back to their human form under special circumstances. It's not like "life" dropped an atomic bomb or acid.
@malacamarada

@JackSablier
@ShatteredXLV
It's always the "this other character is more mentally healthy" mindset. I guess you can only write Thorfinn types now, if you want clout.
@Prazkat
5. Artur Braus [Chapter 111]
"I think Sasha got killed...'cause she wandered too long in that forest. We've gotta get children outta this forest, at the very least"
@sk3736
@Jazzy_Thorfinn
You can't be both transphobic and a VS fan. Love that this part of the manga is likely to receive an Anime adaptation in the future, and thousands of people will be getting exposed to viking era trans representation ❤️
What's cool about this wholesome photo is that it kinda symbolizes the feelings many writers have felt towards their creations; almost like the children they themselves conceived and spent so much time with.
2. Kiyomi Azumabito [Chapter 133]
"I wonder...why don't we realize we've...lost it until it's gone? The feeling...of respect for the dignity of others... without regard for profit or loss."
@Erenscollarbone
While I can't argue against the psychiatric criteria, I do think Eren's mind is more complex than just 'ASPD'.
He's kind of antisocial, psychologically speaking, but I wouldn't say he's "quite there".
And I also think he's capable of feeling remorse, empathy and guilt to a degree
@AoTClears
@BamBamAOT
By the way, Eren could have ended up bursting into tears for something else entirely if Armin hadn't brought up Mikasa into conversation. He was going to die, he was in pain, so it all makes sense character-wise.
Regardless, Eren's actual last words were "Forget about me, Mikasa"
@futurxd
@JackSablier
7. Djel Sannes [Chapter 56]
"One exits...another enters. The stage always needs someone in this role...when one actor leaves... another jumps in to take his place."
Only the first four seasons are good. By season 5 to 6, you end up "forgiving" and shaking your head at some questionably written scenes, only to see yourself down the line walking on eggshells, and then be surrounded by thousands of scrambled bits of garbage by season 7 to 8.
@BeastGrice
I've been experiencing 'AoT discourse burnout' recently and feel like suddenly muting all AoT-related words so that I don't have to read more brain-dead takes of any kind.
@Andriusz8
@ymirexus
@sk3736
"Es que llora por Mikasa"
Claro, porque:
@sk3736
4. Niccolo [Chapter 111]
"She saved me from this stupid, worthless war...she showed me who I was meant to be - someone who brings people happiness through his cooking..."
@sk3736
Naturaleza VS Entorno.
Most anime fans DO unconsciously view anime as a genre: "Real shonen" "Top anime betrayals" "Brotherhood treatment" "Kira VS Johan" "I like it when in anime..." "I'm a hardcore anime fan" (only watches one type of show very rigidly) "The perfect anime protagonist" "Mappa look"
@manjichariot
@AoTJewels
Seems I lured the AoT apologist here. I don’t care if they sympathize with her, no normal person is waving someone that killed their comrades goodbye like their besties. AoT unfortunately falls into the common shonen trope of “friendship will solve everything guys!”
@sk3736
