During a special event at RK Beach, GVMC Commissioner Dr. P. Sampath Kumar IAS expressed his appreciation for the social responsibility shown by social media influencers, calling their contributions commendable and inspirational. The program was graced by actress Kumari Pavani of Pushpa-2 fame, GVMC officials, and members of the Vizag Insta Community and Millennium Software Solutions. As part of the campaign, participants engaged in a walkathon from the iconic cloth banner to the sand art installation, symbolizing their collective commitment to a plastic-free city. Volunteers also cleaned the beach and raised awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastics. The event showcased innovative alternatives like crunchy biscuit tea cups, which serve as a sustainable replacement for plastic-coated paper cups.
