Explain how "Hamas surrendering" would end Israel's murder (including more than 200 people in the West Bank just this year, prior to 10/7), displacement of families, arbitrary and abusive detention, and ecocide--including pouring cement in wells, burning olive trees, etc. Thanks

Mislabeling hurts Idaho dairy.
Producers of plant-based alternatives use the word “milk” on their labels to market their products as an alternative for dairy milk when, in fact, it is a poor nutritional substitute for the real thing.
So the U.S. just decided to place US Army Special Forces "on a long term basis" right there 👇, literally a few hundred feet away from the Chinese mainland, which is unbelievably provocative.

Hamas has nothing to do with Israel murdering and displacing Palestinians in the West Bank, nor did it have anything to do with Israel murdering 200 and maiming 36,000 during the Great March of Return in 2018-19. Maybe you need to be educated/de-programmed?
Absolutely insane. The animal exploitation industries can wave their hands and get their competition banned by their paid-for politicians--no reasons, no debates, nothing. Anti-animal, anti-environment, anti-democracy, and anti-science. Disgraceful.

It is, actually, and it's a tiny fraction of the same. The idea that anyone needs a clear formal statement from Netanyahu et al saying, "Our intent is to destroy the people of Gaza," is absurd and dishonest. That's not how this works; you discern intent from actions (and words).
@SonomaTrial
Wish someone could have asked Waner if he's the "annoying type of DA" who enables criminal animal abusers by charging people who are trying to stop criminal animal abuse and covering up unambiguous animal cruelty.

Intentionally bombing civilians (as seen on video); sniping pregnant women; bombing places they said were safe; shooting Israeli hostages carrying white flags; bombing schools and refugee camps. Not acknowledging that it's a genocide makes you not worth others' time.
@CongMikeSimpson
How much money do you take from the dairy industry to shill for this ridiculous, deceitful, anti-competitive, anti-First Amendment bill that props up an industry that tortures mother cows and fills your own state's waters with nitrates, ammonia, and other harmful contaminants?
Unbelievable. I imagine that the exploiters running this "farm" will get some kind of taxpayer-funded indemnity payment for the losses "they" suffered.

It's genuinely flabbergasting that people keep lying about this. They never claimed they "invented" any figures. Those 11,000 are still confirmed deaths that lack SOME identifying data like DoB/DoD. Liar.
@Mr_Andrew_Fox
@CeilNoyle
The numbers are definitely much higher than that; thousands of children are being amputated without anasthesia; hundreds of thousands are starving--all in a population that's 80% Nakba refugees/descendants living under a brutal blockade/occupation. You're an enabler.
@RichardKellyFL
@RitchieTorres
Hamas has asked, on the record, for an end to the occupation and 1967 borders as terms to end the current "conflict"/genocide.
Brilliant article. Yes, breaking up the factory farm cartel and shifting subsidies away from factory farms should be our priority, not lab-grown meat (which I support nonetheless).
Everyone who was part of the decision to send 8+ FBI agents with machine guns and bullet-proof vests to raid an animal sanctuary -- a place of peace, love, and compassion -- searching for two piglets should be fired. 2/

Beaver County attorney Von Christiansen responds to Hsiung’s closing. When I first heard this I didn’t know if I heard it right bc it was shocking — but here he is comparing rescuing dying piglets to rescuing a dented can or a melting ice cream cone.

Israel has dropped multiple nuclear bomb equivalents on a 150-sq. mile area, which has required a near-constant influx of new bombs from the US and Germany. What more could it do? And it also contends, to an extent, with public opinion.
The purpose of "aid" is optics and PR.
Those people are not public servants. They're bullies -- animal-abusing, corporate bootlicking bullies. I'd love to see a congressional investigation of the FBI's extreme and abusive misuse of taxpayer resources one day. 3/3

No. The Hagana had been collecting intelligence on Arab villages for over a decade before. One agent, Moshe Pasternak, said, "We had to study the basic structure of the Arab village. This means the structure and how best to attack it." The cleansing was entirely planned.

Lee, their plan is to invite LE from all over the world, including the IDF, to their playground to learn "urban warfare" tactics. The cops also killed an activist with zero transparency, and they've filed bogus charges against dozens. They prove the case against themselves.

@ryangrim
You two are both epic, and your focus is really needed now. Any way to put this feud behind you and work together? Credit should be given as a courtesy--sounds like Aaron's on point there--but it's also not the stuff of a federal case.
Advocates often use the passive voice when talking about violence against animals; e.g., "pigs are sent to slaughter when they're just six months old." We should use the active voice and name the perpetrators: Smithfield, Foster Farms, etc. and their officers do the killing.
@elicalebon
I'm aware of that history. The Arab League decided to "wage war" **after** Plan Dalet had been adopted and 250,000 Arabs had been uprooted (including from the Deir Yassin massacre). Many of the cleansed villages were also entirely peaceful. You're defending ethnic cleansing.
So disgraceful by DA Jessalee Mills and Judge Laura Passaglia to blatantly let law enforcement get away with doing nothing about animal cruelty. Why didn't Fomasi and the Sonoma Sheriff investigate Sunrise and Reichardt? WHY!? They should have to say, but Passaglia shuts it down.
Hsiung: Do you remember attempting to persuade the other officers on that day not to do an inspection even though we'd made a report of criminal animal cruelty?

Judge Navarro **must** be referring to the repeated nature of criminal animal cruelty in factory farms and the egregious public health concerns they create.
So disgusted that the Biden DOJ is (1) involved in this case on the **pork industry** side and (2) making absurd and legally/morally reprehensible arguments like this.
Justice asks if, during slavery, a free state would have been barred from stopping the sale of goods produced by slaves...
DOJ (representing the US government): "the logic of our position would say yes"
This is the type of ruling someone who doesn't care about animals - and who doesn't want to care about animals, or question whether they should care about animals - would make.
Judge Passaglia rules Dr. May will not be permitted to testify, noting that the focus should be on conditions directly relevant to the case and not on an appeal to authorities' lack of action or dated observations. She states that while it may explain how the farm got on the
Really bad news: DOJ just filed a brief asking the Supreme Court to overturn CA’s ban on the sale of pork from crated pigs.
The Biden Administration is siding with the pork industry in defending one of the most extreme forms of farm animal cruelty.
I meant to tell Von Christiansen that he's definitely going to be an AMAZING animal rights activist someday, and that was **before** I heard him say, "Until EVERY animal is free" in this clip.
Yep, and also what we pay for when we simply exist in the US, because every taxpayer subsidizes animal exploitation through Farm Bill subsidies, USDA bailouts when factory farms have to do mass killings, and so on.
@JeremyBeckham
@MatthewStrugar
Sounds like defensive insecurity to me. Homeboy Chris Andersen doesn't know if terrorizing volunteers at animal sanctuaries put him on the right side anymore, so he throws snark at the source of his confusion to temporarily ease the burden on his psyche.
@JeremyBWhite
Please don't lose sight of why this was done. The chair of this committee, Robert Rivas, pressured Nazarian to drop the factory farm moratorium, and Rivas takes money from the animal agriculture industry -- $4,900 from the Cattlemen's Association.
@ShalinGala
Yep. We tried to challenge the constitutionality of that livestock exemption in pretrial motions in the
@SmithfieldTrial

This is Judge Laura Passaglia's institutional violence against animals: focusing on trespass laws that would bar documenting animal cruelty rather than actual animal cruelty.
Hey, "Judge": animals cannot report their own abuse. If no one "trespasses", it doesn't get reported.

I can't believe Israel apologists are still repeating this canard. The MoH said it didn't have complete data on the 11,000, not that they're not still confirmed deaths. And that's still a huge underestimate given that perhaps tens of thousands are buried under rubble. Stop lying.
