Yes. Build a respectful base for behavior by:
1. Clearly communicate expectations and consequences. Even children get it.
2. Be present, consistent and follow thru
3. Give praise when earned
4. Make sure they know you love them always but certain behaviors are disappointing

Diversity hires are destroying tech. Everything is in atrophy because of the they/thems and meritless-based hiring.
I was on the hiring committee for a 10 billion dollar business unit in an unnamed tech company. Failure was endemic to their quotas.

My last kid was bullied by teachers in a blue state because he wasn't rabidly left-wing. They'd call him out and reward kids for piling on with candy.

A Mexican restaurant in Moab did this to us in 2008. Our group of 5 guys who ride there 2-3x a year have not been back since.
That’s probably a loss of 4K in food we ate elsewhere.
All to save $10 bucks in syrup over that same time.
