Most deaf people are aware that they are deaf. They stay out of traffic lanes for that reason.
I'm partially deaf, and can't hear quiet vehicles. I stay out of vehicle lane for that reason.

This fire didn't have to harm so many people. If the local government had created a fire-break around Lahaina, if the power had been shut off in the wind storm, if the fire department had been given access to water they desperately needed, if the hazard warning syswas used, etc.

If you are really in Manhattan, I doubt that you have any guns. As to home security, he wasn't at home.
Also, most Boers farmers live in rural areas. Security like alarms to alert police are useless. Police are too far.

It's a clear case. His paddleboard bucked him off, and then attacked him, inflicting blunt force trauma to the cranial segment. Being temporarily incapacitated, he drowned. Paddleboards don't often attack, but when they do, the results are tragic.

There has been a paradigm shift. Law Enforcement was relieved of any burden to protect the citizens by the Supreme Court several years ago (it's fact...look it up). Now we can expect fewer officers wanting to help people, and more wanting to control people.

I was in California, working outdoors and away from people (School Resource Officer for a private school). State law required testing, so I tested regularly. Some whiners STILL complained that I wasn't masked. I came the next day in full Hazmat suit and mask. They shut up 😂

Half of my friends, and my family, have left CA.
I lived in a nice small suburb of San Diego for the past 12 years. In the past 6 years, that suburb became a slum. It looks like San Francisco in miniature. Theft, drugs, rape, looting.
No place to raise kids..

We routinely stored food for 5 years or longer at our ranch. That's quite a long time.
Of course, some foods store better than others, and you will eventually have to cycle through...
But I have learned how to store foods for up to 10 years. That's a big improvement over 5 years.
