Meteorologist, Dad, Husband, Gravel Cyclist, KU Jayhawk, Meditator, Food/Wine Lover. Like, love, hate them, opinions are my own. Not paying for Blue!
Steve Morgan captured this photo from 36,000 feet! The line of storms yesterday, caused the
@SouthwestAir
flight from Denver to Wichita to fly south into Oklahoma, to avoid them. He snapped this photo of a storm near Guyman, Oklahoma.

Discussed names but nothing stuck. Has to fit on ear tag…
Pam from Cheney sent me this awesome harvest photo. She writes, " What says Kansas Farmer more than a 90 some year old farmer cutting wheat under the Kansas & American flag?"

This beautiful timelapse with the Milky Way stabilized is a reminder that the Earth is spinning through space.
Captured at Crater Lake, Oregon by photographer Eric Brummel (

I really hope the era of having meteorologists and reporters standing outside during a hurricane ends before one of them is killed. Seeing way too many close calls...

I’m back home!!! One of my sons was identified as a close contact at school so here I am and I’ll be here through at least the 30th. Good news is I don’t have to wear shoes or dress pants and nobody in our house has symptoms!

My three year old just told me he wants to be a super hero, garbage man and a farmer when he grows up! 😃 I feel like the world needs more tweets like this today.
I know it sucks, but a big shout out goes out to all of you following the distancing guidelines! Hang in there, we’ll get through this!

Shout Out to all the teachers training and planning this week! Know that you are appreciated and our kids miss you! Keep up the good work!!!

I'm going off the grid friends! This next week is spring break and I'm going to use that time to spend time with my family, unwind and disconnect. I'll see you back on the air Friday, March 15.
Beautiful sight in Winfield! This was captured Tuesday morning by Saundra Murrell Williams. The recent sunrises and sets have been incredible across KAKEland. Feel free to share yours.
Check out these amazing photos from Seger Farms in Johnson, Kansas. Rain ended their day a little early but they tell me they were thankful to get it.

A neighbor captured the lightning strike that hit my house last night!
(Note the streak across the roof line after the strike… after talking with Meteorologist
@CamVenableKAKE
, we think it might be a phenomenon known as ball lightning.)
Check this out!!! Billy Pierce shared these images from a fire near Dighton yesterday! That is what is left of a railroad trestle with grain cars sagging!!!

My wife has done an amazing job keeping our kids engaged while they are out of school and while we wait out this quarantine. Each morning they have been waking up to lists like these. How have you been keeping your kids active?

My mother in-law is getting fancy! She sewed a wire into the mask for a tighter fit on my nose to keep my glasses from fogging up!!! Anyone else trying this???

It's been 400 hundred years since Jupiter and Saturn have appeared this close in the sky! They will be so close that they will appear like a single bright star, the Christmas Star. Here's where and when to look:

I’d like to thank the
@USPS
for the boxes that I am standing on to make me a bit taller!
Models are cranking out some eye-popping numbers... I'd be hesitant to believe the real big ones but it does look like this could be an impactful event. Click here to watch and read my thoughts on how this plays out:

In an attempt to potty train our almost 3 year old we got 3 pounds of
@Skittles
for a reward/bribe...today there is 1 left, he is still not potty trained and I’m pretty sure I have a few cavities.

So this happened last night… Garage door openers seem to be toast along with outdoor lighting & possibly the back up sump pump… we’ll be checking for more damage today. Big thanks to
@WichitaFireDept
for coming out and checking for hot spots in the attic!

After a long day,

Hey
@ShaneEwing

(It was relocated without harm)
I’m back from a Colorado vacay and I brought back two things… a beard and much cooler weather!!! Love the beard or hate it??? How about the cool down???

I’m back! We spent a couple awesome days camping on the Jacks Fork River in southeast Missouri. Two day trips on the river along with plenty of swimming and catching crawdads! If you’ve never spent time along the Ozark National Scenic Riverways you should check it out!
Today is National Doctors Day! Now, maybe more than ever they deserve a huge shout out! If you know one, let them know how much you appreciate what they do!
