@TJ_Cooney If SLS is *not* killed ... it'll be the exact same result: we won't see astronauts on the moon until 2029 at the earliest. I've listened to 7 presidents over 4 decades insist they're going to put people back on the moon.

@DJSnM I've listened to 7 presidents over 40 years promise a return to the moon. Young me was SO EXCITED! 20y ago adult me realized NASA isn't in charge -- *Congress* funds missions, and neither party cares about sending humans beyond LEO. The future is outside NASA / Congress.

@5149jamesli @JDVance Good question! Dial the clocks back 80 some-odd years we'll find the answer. (plus the last few centuries of European history: quotas, ghettos, two-tier justice, raids) No accident the European response to the Holocaust included removing many survivors from the continent.

@Kl020703 @CynicalPublius @DataRepublican What y'all are doing is taking Obama's campaign promise from 2008, and making it true. When anyone of the 🔵 tribe complains, remind them of this. Follow up with, "If Obama or Biden had given us transparency before, we wouldn't be here now."

@perrymetzger This is why cities (etc) will *ALWAYS* threaten to cut fire dept, police , schools, trash, 911 service when the time comes for budget trimming. Yet when the attention dies down, the same local gov't decides to fund their very own "poet laureate". Rinse & repeat ad infinitum.
