I will die on this hill - Palmer was a brilliant player. The amount of stick he gets is wrong and mainly driven by somehow being the face of the Graham Taylor era for England.
Despite being a fairly average midfielder, Carlton Palmer surprisingly earned 18 caps for England, finding the net once.
