It doesn't matter who they appoint if they have no plan and no commitment to stick with it. 'Try to get top 4' isn't a plan that will work. It does look worryingly like they are prepared to keep making the same mistake.

I think the thing to do is convince the club board we all think it's a terrible idea, then they can ignore everyone and be very clever by seeing what no one else can and make an appointment that might work. The old double bluff.
