Howdy, Romanian here, this will probably come to you as a surprise but we actually love our wildlife, farmers and city folk alike. My mother grew up in a family of shepherds, they had to deal with all these animals yet she still loves them and understands how vital they are.

I'm an amateur artist and I have my own style inspired by vintage illustrations which is built on "line shame", whenever I tried doing longer, straighter more confident lines I ended up not liking the result, it looked wrong. This depends on personal preference.

I live in Romania, we have a quite high population of lynx in our woods yet they're so elusive that most people in the countryside will never get to see one, even the outdoorsy types. I can also confirm that they don't attack livestock or people.

Some of today's highlights, we hiked up to Pic du Midi de Bigorre from Col du Tourmalet. Took some pics at the observatory but they're on my camera which ran out of battery. The area is very rich in wildlife, we saw eagles, a marmot and a chamois, as well as llamas.

I've never seen a lynx in person but my parents have, they're very reclusive, shy, mysterious animals and a great asset to the ecosystem. Romania is a very agricultural nation yet I've never heard anyone complain about the lynx, it's mostly bears and sometimes (rarely) wolves.
