@FluentInFinance I live in NH. We indeed have no income tax (on ordinary income) or sales tax. However We do have: •Very high property tax •8.5% prepared food tax •3% tax on divs & int (threshold) •7.6% business profits tax (threshold) NH still manages to collect!

@FluentInFinance I live in NH. It is true that we have no income tax on earned income. However, we do have a 3% tax on dividends and interest. (ends next year 2025.) We also have some of the highest property taxes in the US as well as an 8% prepared food tax. NH still gets you!

@dividendology I get the point this is making. However, it ignores the concept of risk management of day trading vs. buying and holding. Reverse the scenario to a stock that goes from $40 down to $10. The day trader makes $3 and the holder loses $30. Both strategies have pros & cons.

@money_cruncher Money markets are protected under SIPC insurance, not FDIC insurance. SIPC insurance protects money market funds up to $500,000. SIPC protects against the failure or bankruptcy of your brokerage firm. SIPC does NOT protect against MMs "breaking the buck". Hope this helps!
