I'm thrilled to announce that registration is OPEN for a conference I've been organizing. We have a stellar lineup of speakers, incredible Catholic female leaders, including @theologianmom @erikabachiochi @LeahLibresco @pursuedbytruth @bronwenmcshea and more. Spread the word!
Registration is now open for our upcoming conference, True Genius: The Mission of Women in Church and Culture, which will take place March 26β28 at the University of Notre Dame. We currently live in a polarized culture, and debates about women feed that polarization, which marks our society as well as the Church. On the one hand, there is a widespread assumption that Catholicism is anti-woman. On the other hand, in some Catholic circles, there is a growing anti-feminism that defies Church teaching. With @FavaleAbs at the helm, this conference aims to counter both of these misguided narratives by presenting anew the Church's understanding of women's dignity and significance in the Church and culture. "True manliness, it seems, is the willingness, in a man, to take the risk of the assertion of love, that is, of self-gift, a magic that was always the underlying reality." A wise and wintry tale from @JohnCavadini

@stinekey Ah yes, I know those well from my own evangelical days! Wanting to get a sense of how/if the terrain has changed.

@HeatherTomli Yes, these are the general movements I'd like to track -- any reading suggestions? Or follows?

To clarify, not looking for "good" takes per se. I want to know what's out there, good, bad, and ugly... So suggestions need not be endorsements
I want to get up to speed on how Protestants are thinking/talking about sex--what should I be reading and who should I be following? (A gamut from progressive to conservative would be good.) Thanks in advance for recommendations!
