Got stopped by a stranger during a coffee run after having appeared in court this morning.He wanted to know if law was a safe profession for women?Felt immense joy talking to the father and assuring him that law is more inclusive now.Nothing more powerful than a father’s support!

Thank you Barrister Salman Safdar for leading the cypher case so brilliantly along with your dedicated legal team. All of you have remained unwavering in the most challenging of circumstances! You fought the cypher case long and hard. 3 repeat sessions of cypher trial in the freezing cold jail court. Sometimes, even 8 to 9 hour sessions a day! After the ridiculous trial and 10-year sentences handed down to both Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the second phase was played out in Islamabad High Court. Starting just before Ramadan. 3 months and 35 hearings in front of divisional bench! Your leadership in this case was reassuring for both our families. This is a good photo to recognize the youngest and most hard-working member of the legal team, Barrister @FaizaAsadMalik1, who assisted me, Barrister Salman Safdar and Syed Ali Bokhari very ably throughout the Cypher case saga from the Adyala trials to the High Court and Supreme Court for the various appeals. Young/female lawyers at times don’t make the headlines but are often fundamental to any good case preparation and win.
