I know that DeSantis committed to the Family Leader Summit because it was the right thing to do, but it likely also locked up the Vander Plaats endorsement, if I had to guess.
Take another victory lap Team Desantis. No other candidate or supporters of candidates cared about what the RNC was trying to do to the #familyleadersummit except for Desantis and his supporters. All others ignored it because they aren’t serious candidates or they don’t care.

For everyone saying that Haley’s censorship idea will lessen crime, it won’t. Furthermore, even if it did, it would create tiers of free speech (anonymous v verified), with the chances for more tiers (private v public accounts, conservative v liberal). Blatantly unconstitutional.

What Haley is suggesting is subject to broad abuse bc it will allow for the gov. to readily determine users making unfavored speech.

This is correct, Sununu can either make this race a 1v1 or make Trump the nominee. There’s no in between.
Reynolds endorsement is obviously very important but I think that makes Sununu’s ultimately more important. He has the opportunity to kill the other candidates, she gives Ron the chance to win Iowa.

I thought that Chuck’s point on Vivek was obvious after @SteveDeaceShow mentioned that RDS & Vivek talked during the commercial breaks at the debate. I think that Vivek’s true views are closer to that of RDS, rather than Trump. Even if he’ll never say that publicly.

While Ken Gardner seems to be one of the loudest about it, this is the fundamental problem with most Haley supporters. They view the world through a lens that no longer exists, which is why they want a candidate stuck in 2004.
Ken Gardner seems like a nice guy. But he is a reminder of why the Left controls every cultural & social institution of influence and why the GOP got stuck with Trump in the first place. The complete lack of introspection on his part, and his clinging to an America that no longer.

Something I discovered about Nikki Haley: in 2016, she vetoed $40 million to help farmers who had suffered flooding, but supported $800 billion in corporate subsidies to car manufacturers & $1 billion to Boeing (who later hired her). She’s for the corporations, not the common man.

For those of you wondering, the reason is timing. We’re more than two months out from Iowa. That’s like 4 lifetimes in politics. Just be patient, the heavy-hitting endorsements are likely coming after Thanksgiving.
I don’t understand why conservative governors like @IAGovernor @BrianKempGA @GlennYoungkin don’t endorse #DeSantis2024 now. They, of all people, know what is at risk in this election and which candidate is most likely to uphold conservative principles.

The problem w/ R’s is that too few are upset that in 2022 we gave D’s 4 trifectas, lost 1 of our own, lost a Senate seat, lost a net of 2 Govs, lost 4 state houses (& barely hanging onto NH House rn), & only gained 9 House seats. Usually a party would change, but not Republicans!.

R’s must act more strategically. It’s hard to beat the MAGA candidate who can only get 40% when you have 3 regular conservatives splitting the remaining 60% 3 ways. Both voters & governing groups (RGA, NRSC, and NRCC) must work to force candidates to drop out to get 1v1 races.
I don't deny that we have a "candidate quality" problem and it's costing us elections while Biden ruins the country. But two things:.(1) That metric doesn't apply to former presidents.(2) Non-"Trump" Republicans need to start winning primaries.

I don’t get the obsession with Haley supposedly being up by 11 on Biden. By Nov. next year, she’d be +3 at best, probably less bc of social security and other positions she holds. RDS +1 and Haley +3 are both solid R wins. But only one will enact conservative policies: RDS.

Haley is having quite the week. Met with liberal mega donors, advocated for blatant government censorship of free speech, and now might’ve cost herself the slim chance she had at the nomination by tanking herself in NH.
The one thing I always credited Haley with was her messaging on abortion. She basically threw that out tonight.

Trump went to Penn (bc of his father’s influence) & had several businesses foreclose bc he couldn’t run a budget. When his businesses survived in the 80’s & 90’s, it was often bc his dad bailed him out.
