My first group ride of the year, and boy was it a doozy! The weather was way too nice not to. My coach isn’t going to be happy with this high intensity effort so early.

Fun fact Friday. Not much happening today because of the weather. Construction is winding down for phase 1. Retaining walls, sewer, utilities and other infrastructure installation is just about done. Phase 2 will be starting in the spring! #NewNSHS @NorthSpringsHS @alexbatesedu

We had a great day visiting Mercer and doing her Presidential Scholar interview. Yes, Katie was pretty cold all day. We learned a lot today. I even ran into two former North Springs students. Such a great day!

President Carter taught all of us what it means to live a life of grace, dignity, justice, and service. Michelle and I send our thoughts and prayers to the Carter family, and everyone who loved and learned from this remarkable man.

Busy day of sightseeing today. 1. Stratford upon Avon of Shakespeare fame- ✅ 2. Silverstone for Alex who loves F1 racing- ✅ 3. Windsor Castle- ✅ 4. Canterberry Cathedral (of Beckett and Chaucer fame), to spend the night on the cathedral grounds- ✅ We are so done!

In the middle of the SOHO Theater district and seeing a show in the equivalent of a very posh Black Box Theater. 10’ from the stage is pretty close. We might be in the “splash zone”.

Well, we just had to see Katie’s favorite Premier League team while in London. Westham vs Brighton in London Stadium. The level of fandom (language and other colorful metaphors) at this game is next level compared to an Atlanta United game.

Day three of the unofficial, underground teacher spirit week was better than ever!! Teacher secret service members were out in force today. Our kids thought we were a) going to a funeral, b) were members of the MiB, or 3) were jazz singers. No, you cannot make this stuff up!
