North Springs' own history teacher, Dr. Brooking, wrote an article published by The American Battlefield Trust, a very prestigious U.S. history organization that supports the preservation of American historical sites and battlefields. North Springs is lucky to have Dr. Brooking on our faculty. He brings over 30 years of teaching experience at both the high school and college levels. Congratulations to North Springs freshman, Joshua Rubin, for competing in the GHSA State Swim Meet this week. Joshua set a personal record by over 4 seconds in the 500 Yard Freestyle. This is a grueling race that requires swimmers to maintain a quick and consistent pace for 20 pool laps. Joshua’s performance was an excellent display of athleticism and perseverance! Go Joshua! North Springs students, including many members of our Freshman Academy, volunteered at the City of Sandy Springs' event: Martin Luther King, Jr.: Life & Legacy at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center on Monday, January 20th. Volunteers assisted children with arts and crafts projects, seated people in the theatre, and handed out certificates. Thanks to North Springs students who represented our school so well! Sandy Springs Education Force (SSEF) provides many opportunities for all students in public school in Sandy Springs. At North Springs, this includes the Aspire After-School program, TSA and Robotics After-School STEAM Club and VOX (podcast program). The Sandy Springs Education Force's 15th Annual STEAM Showcase, held at North Springs, also provides opportunities for students to explore the latest innovations in science, technology, engineering, the arts and math.
