@classicallyabby As an author I hate the fact that I have to compete with this kind of smut. And it’s in everything too. It would be like watching a marvel movie with a hardcore sex scene. It has rotted the minds of women and reduced the amount of good reading at the same time.

@BrianNiemeier When it comes to something like the three act structure it isn’t so much about being followed as something stories just so happen to fall into. People naturally tell stories this way. It’s more of a lens to put a story up against than a template to use for one.

@MichaelFKane The culture is for sure shifting but people have got to be getting sick of this overly political stories filled with lib talking points. I can’t even read a new sci-fi with half of the characters being gay or trans. Oh and every man has to be inferior to a female character.

@struutinsky I do this for whole scenes to be honest. But eventually I rework them into other scenes and I’m trimming the fat they end up better.

@AuthorGFAllen People follow creatives for their unique craft and style and that can transcend genre. It’s weird we tell authors this because in every other story medium we don’t restrict people to a single genre. No ever told Spielberg only to direct Thrillers after Jaws.
