I was involved in writing similar documents for GMP. Piss boring, but helped me get promoted.
We'd sit in meetings with all kinds of Senior Civvies, all talking shit and producing glossy pamphlets.
They looked horrified when I told them that cops never read them.

A shocking reaction from my ex Chief Constable here. He manages to absolve himself of all responsibility, despite promoting Adderley without the proper vetting. And, somehow, "policing" did this to Adderley? He lied to get in the cops in the first place.
Appalling response.
I worked with Nick Adderley in 2 forces as other posts have shown he was very well liked by his staff and the public and good at his job - baffled at why he did this. I worry what policing does to some people
