I think we let labour get away with white washing their record too much on gay rights. When most of the stuff they did in the Blair years was forced on them by the ECHR, after labour defended the discrimination on court.

Our democracy functions on the basis of 1000s of volunteer hours given up by normal people. Those normal people have some responsibility to the message they spread, but if you are mad with the party, take it up with the party. Don't scream at ordinary people in the street.

Just took 93yr old Mum to vote, she's registered blind. In a very loud voice she said "Which box to vote for Ed Davey". The returning officer said "You have to shoot yourself out of that cannon love" - A cheer went up from the crowd.
