On this day 2009 Capt Daniel Shepherd GM was killed in Afghanistan. Capt Shepherd was serving with the Joint Force EOD Group when he died. During his tour he dealt with over 50 devices & his actions saved many. He was posthumously awarded the George Medal. Lest We Forget
