The Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF), General Charles Kahariri, , recently visited the Defence Savings and Credit Co-operative Society (DESACCO) at the Defence Headquarters. He was received by the Director of DESACCO, Brigadier Nehemiah Kemei.

French Defence Attaché to Kenya, Lt Col Denis Brisset, visited the Joint Command and Staff College in Karen where he was received by the College Commandant Maj Gen Eric Kinuthia. The visit is a key step in strengthening the relationship between the French and Kenyan military.

Principal Secretary, State Department for Basic Education, Dr. Belio Kipsang, officially opened newly constructed classrooms at Moi Forces Academy, Nairobi. Commander Kenya Air Force, Maj Gen Fatuma Ahmed, expressed appreciations for partners who enabled success of the project.

KDF personnel in Logistics and Supply departments, today, completed a two-week training with the Kenya Institute of Supplies and Management (KISM) to enhance professionalism in supply chain management at the Defence Headquaters.

The CS for Defence, Hon. Soipan Tuya, hosted a delegation from the East Africa Standby Force (EASF) at the Defence Headquarters for a familiarization meeting. The discussion centered on EASF's efforts to maintain peace, security, and stability in the region.

The Kenya Defence Forces fraternity, along with family, relatives, friends, and religious faithful, gathered to bid farewell to the late Lt Col (Fr) Calistus Kioko Waema at Katoloni Cemetery in Machakos County.

KDF troops stationed at Dadajabula FOB conducted a Humanitarian Civil Assistance initiative by distributing fresh water to locals in Garaska Subcounty, Wajir County. The initiative aimed at strengthening relations between the KDF and the local community.

On January 29, 2025, Brigadier Mohamed Shemote, Commander of the Kenya Navy Fleet (KNF), held a Clear Lower Deck at the KNF base in Mtongwe, Mombasa. Clear Lower Deck is a longstanding naval tradition where the crew assembles for an address from the Commanding Officer.

Commander Operation Maliza Uhalifu, Brigadier S M Huria, visited Cheptulel Boys High School following the return of students after being away for three years. Meanwhile, KDF troops stationed at the Kainuk FOB held a Key Leadership Engagement with leaders from Aroo sub-county.

A multi-agency security team from the Chemolingot Command Center, under OMU, partnered with the Mpesa Foundation and Baringo County medics to host a one-day medical camp at Chemolingot Center, serving over 4,500 patients.

Lt Gen David Tarus, Commander Kenya Army, attended the 25th Annual International Armoured Vehicles Conference in the UK a leading forum on armoured warfare. He met Gen Sir Roly Walker, Chief of the British Army, to discuss mutual security interests and partnership opportunities.
