Thursday night was one for the history books at Edmonds-Woodway High School- the district hosted the 1st ever Wesco Girls Wrestling Championships!
150 wrestlers from the entire Wesco league participated in the historic event where the 1st Girls Wrestling Wesco Titles were earned.
Checklist for re-opening: Cars and buses must be able to navigate streets. All school driveways, lots and bus loops must be plowed. Walkways @ site must be cleared. Concerns for roofs and overhangs w/ icicles dangers must be addressed. Downed trees and branches must be removed.

The School Board unanimously voted tonight to recognize the second Monday of October as Indigenous Peoples’ Day in the Edmonds School District. A former student read the proclamation, while a current student spoke about the importance of the proclamation to him.

💜💚 EWHS students raised more than $8,600 for the Avery Huffman DIPG Foundation at today's homecoming assembly. DIPG is a form of brain tumor, one that senior Emily Hood (on rt) is fighting herself. She is thankful for the support from her classmates!
Dora Sophia (Sophie) Burbank, a Mountlake Terrace High senior, has been nominated as a 2019 U.S. Presidential Scholar for Career and Technical Education.
She was one of only five Washington State CTE students so honored this year.

For the first time since March 2020, students in the district’s English Learner program received in-person support at Edmonds-Woodway, Meadowdale and Mountlake Terrace high schools today! Thanks to staff for their work to create these safe learning environments for our students!
🌺We are sending Aloha to our bus drivers who raised more than $1,200 for the Maui Strong Foundation to help victims of the recent fires. Some of our drivers have connections to Hawaii and jumped at the chance to give what they could to those in need.
Students newest to English had the opportunity to participate in fun, hands-on learning opportunities this summer, almost like attending summer camp! A field trip to Edmonds Marina Beach Park and guest teachers from the Pacific Science Center are just a few highlights.
