This is the worst idea since Jaguar decided to change its logo. #Brexit
A UK-EU customs union would boost growth, bring down prices, cut red-tape for businesses and protect us against Trump's trade war. It is the best way to turbo-charge our economy.

More fiction here from @LibDemsOxon. The extent of the disagreements in a combined captal & revenue budget of c. £2bn were modest, given the funding constraints. In the absence of a positive argument for their Active Travel agenda, LibDem Cllrs resort to making nonsense up 🙄

Today, LibDem & Labour Cllrs voted on a budget that prioritises #Oxford over #Oxfordshire for the 4th year in a row. @Conservatives proposed an amendment that would have cut waste & invested £6m extra in our roads. Residents will now have their say at #LocalElections2025 🗳

17.4m voted #Brexit in 2016; & 3.5m voted LibDem at the last election. Whatever one's views on Brexit, I'd sooner live on Planet Earth than on Planet LibDem. Democracy either matters or it doesn't. Voters should always matter more than politicians:

Great to be our in the villages around Chipping Norton with Cllr David Rogers & @NorthOxonCons Chairman, Adam Nell. Important life lesson: don't take Coco for a wash & cut before canvassing in the wilds of West #Oxfordshire... ... Time for another bath 🛁 #Localelections

Voters across #Oxfordshire can "sweep away the last vestiges of @OxonTories". Or; Do the same to @LibDemsOxon, who have mismanaged our roads, SEND & school bus services alongside record Council Tax rises. We need grown-up local government, not facile pronouncements like this.
Confirmed: Oxfordshire *will* be having local elections for the County Council in 2025....this is right and fair! We look forward to sweeping away the last vestiges of the failed Tory party Let's do this!

More Lib-Lab misspending @OxfordshireCC identified by @markchristie... ... it's hard to keep up sometimes.

2% of @OxfordshireCC's tax rise is attributable to 3 @UKLabour policies; Reorganisation of Councils - £5m or c.1% on #CouncilTax; #NationalInsurance hike - +£3.75m (c.0.75%); & #BusFaresCap - £0.4m (c.0.25%). But for Labour, there could be a real terms Council Tax freeze.

Standard Lib Dem-run @OxfordshireCC madness. Well spotted by @Ind_Ox_Alliance.
When designing these cycle infrastructure “improvements” did they forget that the cyclists need to rejoin the road?!

Cretinous and cruel. How can a #Holocaust exhibition be "too political" for #Parliament? The @CommonsSpeaker needs to convene a new committee... @HMD_UK @HolocaustCentUK

Today is #HolocaustMemorialDay. 80 years ago, the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated. We will always remember the six million Jewish victims.
Today is Holocaust Memorial Day, and recently I met with Holocaust survivor Eve Kugler. Her family lived through Kristallnacht, and spent most of the war hiding from the Nazis in France. Her story - and the story of millions of others - reminds of the importance of remembering the unique evil of the Holocaust. It is crucial that we learn its lessons and continue to combat antisemitism, ensuring that "never again" truly means never again.

Great to be out knocking on doors in #Banbury with @NorthOxonCons. People were pleased to see @Conservatives working hard to rebuild trust. The message is hitting home that #Oxfordshire has been badly run by LibDem, Labour & Green Cllrs over the last 4 years. We keep going 👍

How many of @LibDemsOxon's Active Travel plans have worked over the last 4 years? They pushed for Botley Road; They pushed for better bus times; They pushed for more cycle lanes. Their record? £11m wasted on unpopular #LTNs & #BusGates. Nothing but misery to show for it.
Botley Road rail bridge is to reopen to traffic in August 2026 – but a widened pedestrian walkway will be opened this summer. Network Rail says it is “extremely sorry” for the delays but that “we’re confident the revised plan is deliverable”.
