@RavenPresser @cassiemoans_ I don't even look at anyone else because making eye contact in such a setting is kind of awkward & inappropriate. Last thing I'd be doing is clocking, judging & challenging who does or does not look 'feminine enough' to pass a standard which went out of style in the 1940's

@LucyGoBag It is very isolating having a child at a 'special school' as you don't meet or interact with other mums or get to know anyone local - We were the village outcasts & this isolation is really the problem here IMO as it leads to depression & feelings of despair esp for single mums

@DrPragyaAgarwal Many men objectify women, especially once we're in a relationship with them. We become 'a wife' or 'a girlfriend' - an object of desire & service & we lose our identity as people. They treat everyone else with respect except the women they 'own' who are labelled like possessions

@AbbiBrown92 You'd think the fire brigade would be on this as you're not supposed to lock fire doors - that's the whole point in them isn't it? In the event of fire they automatically lock. I reckon cleaners just CBA to clean that part of the building and lift number 2

@AmberMay2021 @vvictorman_uel TERFs seem obsessed with sex ironically - in a very 'old-fashioned' way similar to purity culture - As in 'all men are rapists & can't control themselves' and 'all scantily clad women are 'asking for it'' - These notions are from 1940's patriarchy & yet they claim feminism too

@emilykmay IMO we're judged as 'failed women' if we don't have an immaculate, attractive home as this is traditionally 'women's work' & we traditionally 'belong at home'. That's not maturity, it's social pressure! Men aren't pressured by tradition to be good home-makers, so it's optional

@PastoralKaty that woman was mean! When I tentatively suggested child might settle down she snarled 'they'll never change!' & she accused me once in a shop full of people of 'not feeding them anything' as child was thin & always hungry (yes because there's no food at school!) Such small /2

Slept very badly last night after going shopping yesterday so v tired today & can't walk without clutching onto something but I've managed to do dishes AND laundry so that's good going for me! Going to be another late dinner/late night though now as I need a rest & a cuppa🙄

Daft thing I did yesterday is got in the lift with the person going to the bins. Overwhelming socially so I'm chatting away as I do automatically while they're stood there thinking 'Why isn't this lift moving?' I didn't notice I'd not pressed buttons as I can't multitask 🤦‍♀️😅

@RachelAdamSmith I've been home alone over a week now - won't be going out for a few days as I need to do other things first, & can only do one major task a day (like laundry). My one trip out per week is to buy as much food as I can carry, so I never go anywhere 'for fun' or socialise any more.

This was phenomenally good considering how quick & easy it was! Boiled potato, carrot & about 1/3 of that cold roast chicken 12 mins - added gravy granules & curry powder = Done! I cooked rice 1st & left it to stand & fluff up. Apricot conserve is just as nice as mango chutney 😋

@AvailableForNow @PBanpoys @dhothersall @SpaceCadet_74 @o_nulty Yes I know, but taking puberty blockers will alleviate mental distress at being forced to grow breasts for example & avert the need for major surgery down the line. People are aware of the risks; bone density is monitored. If your child is distraught to the point of self-harm /1

@DestinySugarB So I think the problem is people really don't care any more. It's very hard to understand how you can think fire is dangerous & will burn you and go from that to believing fire is harmless & regularly setting fire to your clothing but here we are in effect with Covid

Election Day chocolate cake! Cooked in 3 mins - just like the Tories 😃 Wholemeal flour, baking powder, sugar, cocoa, pinch salt, half a jar of applesauce, oil, water (egg substitute) milk - microwave 2 mins @ 700w, stand 1min, microwave 1.5 mins.

@IAmJessPlant nonsensical - it should be how far you can walk without aids if they want a realistic idea of the level of someone's disability.

3 hours of 'Dogs Behaving Badly' on channel 5 from 12.00 followed by 3 hours of 'Canal Boat Diaries' on U-Yesterday channel with a break for an hour of Simon Reeve being dashing & daring in South America - Not a bad day's viewing! 🤗

Well I've just bought a 'washing machine' but not as we know it LOL - little twin tub camping type with a washer & a spinner side by side & I'll have to fill it from the shower & drain it in the shower but it's easier than plumbing a big one in! From catalogue - pay next year 🤦‍♀️

Downside to TV is I can't multitask LOL - just took me an HOUR to get 3 bits of bread & jam & a drink of water - that is an hour standing in the kitchen preparing it! After an hour of trying to get myself to go in the kitchen first 😅

@IAmJessPlant I think the DWP might strongly suspect we're not disabled if we're capable of doing something gruelling like an all day trip to a city on public transport, including a march lasting at least an hour - I haven't even been able to get to Sheffield for months

@galaxibrain444 It doesn't cause me pain just total confusion like my brain short circuits & mind goes blank LOL - case in point being my inability to either answer the doorbell or my phone as 'STOP THE NOISE' causes me to press the wrong buttons in a panic

Just had another scary ocular migraine - no headache just vision problems - I had one in 2017 not had one since but I think it's blood supply to my head being constricted after pounding laundry in the sink as it crunches my neck bones badly. If I get a washing machine though /1
