First off clearly there was a power outage and this is a temporary solution. When fuel stations shut down or run out of fuel do you have a backup solution to get fuel? You could just fill up at home right? Second the EV movement is not a Democrat agenda! If it were they would have done everything they could to support the leader in EVs instead of ignoring them entirely. Instead Joe decided to announce GM as the leader in EVs and fight Tesla tooth and nail every step of the way. Honestly, if you drive a GM or Ford you are driving the democrats green vehicle. Powered by union labor, with all the emissions systems (def is fun isn’t it) and the joy of needed oil changes and constant maintenance, beholden to the fueling station. I’ll keep plugging in at home, thanks.

Yeah, that's GMs attempt. Their methodology is to throw more batteries at it. While that gives the people what they want as far as range, it adds considerably to the time to charge and the cost. Few people can/should afford a $100k vehicle….we need a Tahoe sized vehicle at ICE Tahoe prices…or just above. Not twice as much. Battery tech has to improve for this to happen but once it does, the transition to EVs will be exponentially expedited.
