@Variety Maybe I'm becoming more politicised, but the payoff of the joke isn't even funny. It's just there because a "joke" has to have a payoff. At this point, I'm certain that Merchant was the reason The Office and Extras worked. Because Gervais on his own is preachy and not funny.

So I’m not the biggest Cate Blanchett fan (I think she’s talented but I don’t have the love everyone else does), but seeing her in person I get it. I’ve never seen someone hold an audience in the palm of their hand like that. Insanely charismatic and funnier than I expected.

@Swordfish978 I doubt it will be. I feel like it'll take an objective view in portraying how those involved in the Manhattan Project *thought* it was a good idea and had good intentions, but I think Nolan is smart enough to show that it was also a bad thing and fucked the world up forever.

Abe Simpson is one of my favourite characters, and I always loved this moment. Beneath the senile ramblings and belligerent stories, that he gets such a beautiful, poetic, and romantic piece of dialogue, I think it’s wonderful.

@KaiserBeamz @fiendformojitos Wes Anderson doesn’t get enough credit for how much pure empathy he has for his characters, despite the dry humour and flashy style. He just knows how to write them in a way that makes them feel too real and makes us connect to them through our own flaws and failures.

@anjelikamuhe I do credit him for trying to watch pretty much everything and uncovering some real "so bad its good" gems, but his ratings system is bizarre. He loved 3 Billboards and said "I would give it 10 but Lucas Hedges is in it and I didn't like him in Manchester by the Sea, so it's a 9"
