The problem isn't Eren and Mikasa being romantically interested with each other. The problem is Isayama did fuck-all with them after chapter 50. I don't think anyone would be complaining if he actually bothered to develop their relationship after Eren punched Dina.

That is literally what I said, he wanted to do the Rumbling to fulfill his desire for Freedon which was infringed by the outside world's existence (=no Freedom for him).
He would and always will do the Rumbling, Alternatives don't matter and he rejects them
