Endorsed Republican Candidate for Philadelphia Council At-Large. Aiming to make positive changes in my beloved city. Let's make Philadelphia the best it can be!
The City of Philadelphia is the poorest of the largest cities in the US, with a poverty rate of 23%. It is also the most taxed of the largest cities in the US, with an overall rate of nearly 21%. Philadelphia has a poverty problem because it has a taxation problem.
This is only part of what I had to deal with driving down Broad Street today. It is time to support our police, take the handcuffs off of the police and permit them to do their job and arrest those breaking the law.
In a 2018 memo, DA Larry Krasner instructed his prosecutors to pursue a summary charge for retail theft when the stolen items did not exceed $500 in value and the defendant was not a repeat shoplifter. Now the DAO wonders why retail theft is rising.
I am thankful for work of the Philadelphia Police Department for keeping us safe during the lawlessness and looting that occurred last week. It is worth retweeting this post from the Working Families Party. Remember this post when you vote by mail or on November 7.
As Kristy and I drove north on Broad yesterday, this is what we encountered. Illegal ATVs and dirt bikes driving south on the the north side of Broad. One vehicle driving the wrong way had a very young child as passenger. As the shooting this weekend proved, this can turn deadly.
There are over 115,000 Republicans in Philadelphia who are also working people. To dismiss 10% of our City as not being Philly is disingenuous, exclusionary and quite frankly, repugnant.
It's time that Philadelphia City
Council is filled with people that are like the people of Philly - working people, not extremist republicans. 📢💪

Congratulations to Councilmember Kendra Brooks and Nic O’Rourke on their victories. My team and I could not have worked harder and I am proud of our effort. Thank you to my wife Kristy
@kmosesmurray
, my daughters and all my family and friends for your support during this journey.
As we are still trying to get our Philadelphia Police force back to pre-pandemic and pre-defund the police levels, it is important to remember where the Working Families Party stands in regard to defunding the police. I will always support the men and women in Blue. Remember this
Listen carefully to what DA Krasner is saying. He is much more likely to prosecute retail theft at a summary/misdemeanor level. He is talking about the looting and lawlessness that occurred last week. These criminals know there is no culpability. A summary offense is not enough.
I will ask the question again. If the Working Families Party is an independent party, why are the vast majority of their endorsed candidates Democrats?
It is time for Philly to go Blue and White.

I applaud City Council’s vote yesterday which will ban safe injection sites in 9 of 10 Council Districts. This vote is essentially veto-proof. I have traveled this city and most residents do not want these sites in their community.
Mayor Kenney does not listen to his constituents and ignores their opinion. Communities overwhelmingly reject the idea of “safe” injection sites. Any Councilmember who does not vote for this bill is also not listening and ignoring as well.
This is a disgusting post. Terrorists are killing civilians in Israel and instead of condemning the terrorist attack, they are condemning the country under attack. Research who the Philly DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) are supporting in the Philadelphia City Council
DSA is steadfast in expressing our solidarity with Palestine.
Today’s events are a direct result of Israel’s apartheid regime—a regime that receives billions in funding from the United States.
End the violence. End the Occupation. Free Palestine. 1/5
Certainly, other factors are involved, but we cannot ignore the fact that crime plays a large role. Philly relies heavily on the wage tax.If people do not return to the office, we are in trouble. The City Where People Aren’t Going Back to Offices - WSJ
Note those who voted AGAINST tax cuts. The Working Familes Party (WFP) is opposed to cutting taxes for working families. The Philly wage tax and business taxes will be cut amid cash surplus for the city
The culture of lawlessness is a direct result of the DAO and current mayoral administration’s soft on crime policies. It is time for culpability. It is time for both sides of the aisle to support our police. It is time to FUND the police.
3 cop cars vandalized after wild night
The past week has proven that Safehouse is trying to open up a Safe Injection Site in Philly behind the backs of residents. Remember what the Working Families Party thinks about these sites.
15-1. Note the Councilmember who voted against the will of the vast majority of Philadelphians and all her colleagues. Philadelphia bans supervised injection sites in most of the city after City Council rejects Mayor Jim Kenney’s veto via

I am humbled and proud of last night’s results. Thank you to all those who voted for me. Thank you to all who supported me. Thank you to all the ward leaders and committee people who supported me and worked a 16 hour day yesterday.
I dislike Act 40, but I do not think we have another option if DA Krasner continues to be derelict in his duties. Act 40 would strip authority from Philly DA, officials say – NBC10 Philadelphia
It is sad. I did not understand the degree to which anti-Semitism is alive and well in the United States. Prayers for my wife and all of my Jewish friends. Sabra products at Acme stores vandalized with boycott stickers in Lower Merion via

I love seeing film crews in Philadelphia and I am seeing them more and more often. The film industry brings union jobs to the city and promotes Philadelphia all over the country and the world. Sharon Pinkerton and the Greater Philadelphia Film Office do an amazing job!
Democratic Socialists of America and their anti-Semitism must be condemned. If you accept support from DSA and do not condemn their bigotry, you are condoning their rhetoric. It is that simple. NYC pro-Palestine rally splits Democrats over Israel- POLITICO

An “independent” party would not endorse members of another party. The minority seats on Council offer an opposing view. The Working Families Party does not offer that view. The Working Families Party wants to have it both ways via

For those saying there is no danger in this activity, please look at the article I wrote. By no means am I saying that all riders would act in this manner, but to say it is all innocent is just not accurate.
I am proud to have the endorsement of the Philadelphia Firefighters’ & Paramedics’ Union Local 22! I could not be more honored than to be supported by the men and women who put their lives on the line protecting and providing medical care for us!
Philly DSA reposting this is disgusting. A group supporting Palestine is one thing. A group supporting them the day after a terrorist attack on Israel is another thing all together. Research who the Philly DSA endorsed in the Philly City Council At-Large race. Prayers for Israel.
Even though Philly DSA condemned Israel the day they were attacked by terrorists, Kendra Brooks and Nic O’Rourke are accepting of their support. Accepting the support of a group that does not condemn terrorism is condoning the terrorist attacks. Prayers for Israel.

Phonebanking is an incredibly important way to talk to potential supporters we can’t reach on the doors—all from the comfort of your own home. Make calls tonight at 7:
DA Krasner will call this progress, detailing the 7% decrease. However, look at the total of 315 in 2017, the year prior to DA Krasner taking office. 500 is a tragedy. It’s time for leadership.
Great turnout last night. I was running around like crazy once the party started, so I only got one shot of the crowd. I believe this is my 13th year organizing LSNA’s Annual Halloween Party. I think this was the biggest yet, which is fitting since it was the 50th annual!
I am proud to have the endorsement and support of the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters! In my day job, I hire union carpenters and I know how hard they work and how skilled they are. I could not do my job without them!
We came up short, but I know we could not have done more. I love you all. Thank you Jim Hasher for all of your hard work and a well run race. We did the best we possibly could and can hold our heads up high.
To be clear, when I refer to levels, I am not referring to budget. I am referring to the number of officers we have in the PPD. We are currently almost 1000 officers short.
The Working Families Party and their endorsed candidates are not pro-union and do not support collective bargaining. The proof is in the pudding. It is that simple. Philly mayor primary: Stagehands head demands Helen Gym move rally to union venue
I will probably be the lone Republican here, but that is OK. I run organizations where I am one of the only Republicans in room, so I am used to it. We all have to work together in the end.
@zakibrown2
The only way to put something in Fairmount Park would be to take away fields and outdoor areas from others. It is just not feasible in my opinion. I am open to ideas, but first those breaking the law must stop breaking the law. Rewarding bad behavior is not the answer.
@harrisonfinberg
I think drones should absolutely be used. Once illegal vehicles are found and proven to have been used illegally, they should be destroyed and a fine levied.
Thank you Councilman Oh and Councilman Squilla for coming to the Philadelphia Crosstown Coalition meeting tonight to discuss our city’s crime epidemic.
The City of Philadelphia has an overall real estate transfer tax of 4.278% (1% PA; 3.278% Philly). If we are going to discuss affordable housing, we need to address this barrier to entry.

This is a huge deal for Philadelphia. At my last meeting as President of the Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA) way back in 2019, we voted to support the ordinance that permitted this project. No one can call LSNA NIMBY’s!
I am so proud to have the support or Representative Martina White! Representative White has served the constituents of the 170th Legislative District and the City of Philadelphia since 2015. We are all lucky to have her in Harrisburg!

I love this statue. Octavius V. Catto, a Republican, was murdered by Frank Kelly on Election Day, October 10, 1871. People have died fighting for the right to vote. Today, we simply need to exercise that right. Please vote by mail or in person on May 16, 2023. Murray4PHL

and their anti-Semitic views, they remind us daily. They have promoted events where attendees called for the destruction of Israel and they did not condemn. Chants of, “From the River to the Sea,” were frequent. I stand with Israel.

I had an incredible time last night for National Night Out! I started at the 5th District (Gorgas Park) where I got to dunk Doc in the tank, then headed to the 2nd/7th Districts (Fox Chase Elem.) and ended at the 8th District where I saw my friend and running mate Jim Hasher.

I had already announced for the 2023 Philadelphia City Council At Large race last May, prior to Council President Clarke issuing a writ for a special election. I knew going into this special election that we were a huge long shot, but I ran the race to win it.
I just got home from a long day and three events tonight. I am blessed to be able to sit on my deck, decompress and remind myself of how incredible our city is and my desire to make it better. We have our issues, but we can’t lose sight on why we fight.

In 2020, I was the first Republican Ward leaders to publicly come out in support of Republican City Commisioner Al Schmidt in regard to the handling of the 2020 election. Granted, this was three years ago, but I have publicly stated it was a fair election.
