We need to look at the judges in town. A guy broke into my building, stole 12k worth of stuff. He already had 2 bench warrants for other cases. Bail was 25k, post 2,500. Bail hearing-DA asks for higher bail, judge lets him out for 0. Prelim today and he of course doesn’t show up.

The city of Philadelphia is completely planned around SEPTA. Historically it was built this way and we are building thousands of housing units along mass transit right now. If SEPTA has to cut service by 20% next year like they say, that will completely upend our local planning.

New potential Chicago megadevelopment just hit. The Reinsdorf and Wirtz families are proposing a $7B development around United Center that could add 5000 new residences, a 6000 seat music hall, new public green spaces, etc.
Mostly private money minus maybe a new CTA stop...

This is completely intentional. The zoning does not allow for small scale infill, lots were cleared for large projects that didn’t materialize. Not a natural market occurrence here
It’s fascinating that the most blighted city in New Jersey is… Atlantic City. Like, it’s a dense urban environment with blocks of empty, ocean front real estate, with failing 40 story casinos interspersed.
