Thread: How NOT to be a “chronic” chiropractic patient: Let me first say, chiropractic can work like damn-near magic for people, and is extremely under-utilized. But at the same time it is over-utilized by a segment that mostly fall into the category of “toxic/deficient”.

When the truth about vitamin A gets out, chiropractic offices will empty out. I'm really good at this chiropractic thing but I'm still preparing for that eventuality.

My wife miscarried 3x when we were eating liver one night a week. Stopped liver, two healthy babies. But we're still extremely vitamin A toxic from it years later, sky high blood retinol levels two years into a low vitamin A diet.

This is why advice to pregnant women to never eat liver is ridiculous. I discuss the research on vitamin A/liver controversies, safety, and risk of vitamin A toxicity in this article:

@BioavailableNd Accutane is just "active" vitamin A, AKA the most toxic form of it. It takes years to clear that toxicity and heal damage in a slow controlled fashion by supporting detox bottlenecks such as ALDH with zinc, selenium, molybdenum, potassium, magnesium, and nicotinic acid.

Year 3 of vitamin A detox is crazy. I just detox more aggressively over time. Blood levels still very high after year two. Get lots of low grade itchy spots as the retinoids move around. Yet still experiencing old symptoms improving or fading away at a good clip.

My alcohol and aldehyde processing (ADH, ALDH enzymes) is off the charts after 2 years of detoxing vitamin A and working on mineral levels. The good news, I don't get hangovers anymore. The bad news, I can hardly maintain a decent buzz on beers bc I process the alcohol so fast.

The detox formula: Minerals (Zn, Se, Mb, K, Mg)+ample protein+energy(glucose)+NAD (replenished with extra nicotinic acid AKA flush niacin) are needed to get all the requisite enzymes to "do the work" of detox, get the liver online and producing bile. Then just TIME (1/3)...

Nicotinic acid (flush niacin) is powerful stuff. Turns out I'm not a 1-3+gram/day kind of guy. More like 250mg or less. Liver still kicking too much of the extra bile back into my blood it seems. It built up over a couple of weeks and started to bite me pretty hard.

I have a theory that some detox symptoms aren't always coming from cholestasis. Sometimes they might be poisons moving TO the liver, flowing AWAY from fatty deposits in the body, through lymphatic system.

Working on my theory of why exactly vA toxic people seem to need a lot of chiropractic care. So much more recurrence of fixated joints in the upper neck, hands/wrists etc most frequently. Must be something to do with hypercalcemia and calcium deposits in soft tissue.

Been minimizing vitamin A as low as possible for a year now. Just tested and my blood retinol is sitting at 46 mcg/dL. Q: How could I still have this much in my body? A: Because it's not a nutrient you need and use, but a TOXIN you can only eliminate VERY, VERY slowly.

You don't fix health problems with "more nutrients". Nutrient maxxers always end up poisoning themselves with high vitamin A foods - and often garbage "supplements" that shut down their liver detox system.

After doing low carb myself for years in the past, I feel like it mostly gets apparent results because the scarcity of glucose slows liver detox activity to a crawl. Which feels GOOD but it sets you up for a hard time later on as the backlog of toxicity builds.

Carbs feed the liver and fuel detox. Detox doesn't always feel good. No wonder people who go carnivore or just fast all the time feel so great. Long term, not going to work out well. Toxins accumulate and concentrate.

Liver vs carrots… Nearly 50% of Americans don’t get enough vitamin A from their diets… Liver is one of the most nutrient-dense foods for humans. All you need is 0.5-1 ounce of liver per day to meet your daily requirement for vitamin A…

@SBakerMD GB often avail at $2/lb. Cuts of steak $3-5/lb. $250-350/mnth eating ~4lbs/day. Cheaper than buying organic veg all the time...and tastier!

@AdamStenman You do adjustments/mobilizations ever? You should see how fast upper neck adjustments clear up sciatic/LB/hip symptoms. Obv not gonna change arthritic joints much, if at all, but it alters the mechanics profoundly and in a week or two limitations start fading away. Miraculous.

New patient yesterday. After her first adjustment I asked her to look up/down/side/side. She was in shock at the ease/freedom of movement and tears of joy welled up her eyes. Best gig in the world.

Have been taking 2-5g of nicotinic acid daily for most of the last 6 months. I know it's been mobilizing a ton of toxins. When I started I got "sick" a bunch but have felt mostly good lately. Going to taper it down to zero over the next couple weeks and see how a break feels.

Did a presentation this morning about how I deal with autoimmune conditions in chiropractic practice. Basically start them on a low vitamin A diet and plug them into the minerals etc they need to detox. That seems to stop the severe flare-ups quick. Then time.

@nomouthmustpost @LandsharkRides @NutriDetect No you just haven't explored the subject enough. When you dig in, the toxicity of vitamin A is extremely well established.

After a year of detoxing vitamin A, most nights I'm not getting up to pee (was 2-3x/night a year ago). Was so nice while camping this weekend!

@Pat_Stedman I want my sisters to move in next door to us with their families and they all hang out while the kids play together all day every day.

"Vitamin A" is nothing but a poison and I want this to be mainstream NOW.
