Proud to be an “Igbo-looking” Yoruba girl because it cements one fact: we are ALL Nigerians - and no tribe is better than the other.
I firmly stand against tribalism, bigotry and all the violence and voter intimidation that took place across Nigeria during these elections.
9 years ago during my A-levels my guidance counselor told me “medicine isn’t for people like you” when I asked for support in getting work experience.
I got the experience, and I’m back as a medical doctor 🥳
I’ve known we’re getting married for a while but the way he, my siblings and my babes shocked me that day…it’s taken months to process it all 😂❤️
And Yes I cried over shoes, they’re loubs pls it’s allowed 🤣
To think I saw people strongly defending that inhumane job advert in the name of having worked in such conditions for less money.
Now that international circles have seen it and his employer has been contacted, the post has been pulled down.
Stop defending rubbish.
The helplessness associated with being Nigerian is draining.
Thinking of those 20 medical students and doctor in captivity and praying they’re all still alive and unharmed.
It’s my 30th birthday and I’m having a meme party 🥳
Guess which one I’m going as? 😂🤣
@Joyceptt
shot this at 23:39 last night and edited it before the day started - she’s a super woman!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽😍😍
Medical school was no walk in the park but I thank God for this degree steadily. I really just up and move cities/countries and I find great jobs with it.
To that tired med student: some encouragement that it gets better ✨
My Nigerian neighbor’s 5 year old daughter saw me and my sister having a photoshoot in my garden from her window and she said “hi, you have the same skin as me!”
So now we have a play date set to chat in my garden after school tomorrow 🥺❤️
Master of Public Health officially secured!! 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
The blogpost in the quoted tweet has a photo-studded account of how beautiful this day was; check it out 🥰❤️
Def do your genotype several times. Got AS everytime in Nigeria whereas neither of my parents have the sickle trait. Did the test here and I’m AG-Philadelphia (had no idea that existed!). They had to do it 3 times and send me a genetic analysis.
Doesn’t sickle either.

Female privilege exists so much that in medical school, guys pay for it and it’s evident in how well the society panders more towards women’s needs and the associated benefits
Finding out my cousin is dead is one thing, it’s a whole other thing to see people speak horrid things over someone who’s corpse we’re yet to receive as the family.
I haven’t the words rn, please just remember every life matters. My whole family is at a loss.
UK Govt sent my grandma groceries for free (and apparently will do this weekly till the lockdown is over) and it’s got me wishing I was over 65 because pasta is so hard to find in my area 😂
Someone really said being sexually exploited with the return of passing an exam is a female privilege, as per because they’re a guy they don’t have the “privilege” to be sexually harassed as a route to exam success.
See what I mean by it’s a lost cause most times?
For the record: my husband and I are in this same UK and are very happy in our marriage. We have systems in place that keeps our home running and our love intact.
Speaking up so that it’s not only bad marital stories out on the TL spewing fear up and down.
My baby got me a whole new wardrobe for my birthday 🥹
30+ stylish new items of clothing, I’ve never received this many gifts at once in my life, if you see how I fainted as he was bringing them out😭❤️

So many big companies in the UK are currently recruiting to their 2024 graduate programmes.
KPMG, PwC, BP, Tesco, Lloyds Bank, Barclays Bank
If you’re a student or fresh graduate - this is the time to search “graduate program 2024” and get applying.
Yes, they can sponsor visas!
Honored to have been selected to join the
@UNWomenUK
delegation to the 67th Commission on the Status of Women.
Many thanks to the ladies that raised awareness about this delegation; looking forward to more networking and beyond!
Now that I’m done crying and finished with my initial round of thanks to God - I’m so glad to announce that the final results of my first masters are out - God did it!!
MPH Imperial College London in the BAG!!!! 🎊🎊🎊🎊🥳🥳🥳
Currently over the moon because I had competing deadlines on both my masters which stresses me at the time - the results from the 4500 word papers are back - distinctions all round 🥹❤️

Personally I’ve broken off an engagement after months of intense pressure from several angles. I always knew it wasn’t right but people I respected made me feel like I was wrong until God miraculously exposed the guy’s ulterior motives 3 weeks to introduction.
There’s no manual.
To think there was a time I wanted to put off marriage till I had bought my own house and car and gotten to a certain level in my career.
I felt like I needed to achieve those to be safe, I felt the need to protect myself from marriage and didn’t even realize it.
My dad had COVID and lost 25kg in the 9 days that he was hospitalized.
His blood pressure is now better controlled as well as his blood sugars; the whole experience was frightening, but he somehow came out healthier.
I thank God ❤️🙏🏽
6 months of learning and unlearning.
Thankful to God daily for the blessing of a beautiful, blissful marriage ❤️
P.S Happy international women’s day my loves! ✨❤️
One year of blissful marriage to
@UnusualMCM
today!
Yesterday, we finally got to celebrate our union in the presence of our loved ones, it was such a privilege to have our celebration on our terms - and it was perfect.
God truly makes all things beautiful in it’s time ❤️
Thank you for all the well wishes, we couldn’t have anticipated the outpouring of love we received!
May you be celebrated in full, always, in Jesus name, amen.
Signed,

It’s back to school this autumn for this baby girl and I’m so excited as I love public health!
I’m an
@imperialcollege
postgraduate student! Time to make the most of the GMPH journey 🥳👐🏽
In one unexpected email, my sister’s entire tuition fees have been wiped off!!
They said since she holds a Finnish residence permit, she’s fee-free 🥳🥳🥳💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
They took Dr Fadahunsi this morning on her way to work between Shetimma and FMC Lokoja (now FTH). She was riding to work with her husband and they took her.
How many more doctors until our leaders sit up!?😭
Was writing exams, working two jobs, writing final essays and sorting a side hustle all at once - last of the essay grades came out and I got a distinction.
Proud of me 🥺
The one that changed my whole life for the better. My perfect match including in annoyingness 😂
Everyday I choose to love you wholeheartedly.
My forever Valentine ❤️🌹

Aug 2020, I practically lost my cousin. She had a cardiac arrest secondary to bilateral pulmonary embolism after her delivery.
The cardiac centre was 2hrs away and no helicopter was available that night.
Had to drive her there in a coma.
My name: Elizabeth
His name: Samuel
What the Lord has done for us: Gave us deep, HOT, mutually beneficial love.
Spent Valentine’s Day watching our wedding video for the first time 🥰🥹; dinner also banged - shout out to
@IzunnaDike
for the oven baked chicken recipe! 😍🙌🏽
Someone who’s just seeing my wedding pictures asked my friend if I’ve been sick lol
I posted my gym routines on my IG/WhatsApp stories daily for like 9 months to prevent this very thing o
Please I’m very well, I intentionally dropped 22kg in a healthy way 🙏🏽❤️
@almaasinobi
Hey Alma, Medic here: some female medical doctors don’t like OBGYN for several reasons, could be a dislike of the smell of liquor ranging right up to PTSD of their own experiences 🤷🏽♀️
But someone needs to do the work and men who can handle it, do it.
Hope this helps
This day last year, Samuel and I got the keys to our home.
I really actualized my dream of moving from my parent’s house to my own home and never renting.
Couldn’t have done it without my husband, so grateful to God for him ❤️
Just remembered how General Surgery turned me to Jane Bond during HJ.
Patient came at 2am with stab to the neck and we needed pressure pump from theater but security had slept off - that’s how I scaled window to enter o.
HJ was the actual ghetto 😂
lol saw someone trying to shade me for changing my name - the core of feminism is that women have CHOICES.
I can CHOOSE things that pertain to MY life as a result of the great strides of feminism.
If I want to have the same surname as my husband, why is that YOUR problem?
Every single word in my husband’s vows was profound, but this snippet warms my heart each time.
There was a point that the shege he was seeing because he wanted to marry me was so much that I actually told him to walk away - but he stuck it out for me 🥹❤️

My sister said this hairstyle makes me look like the black women that UK companies put on their careers page to prove that they hire people of color and - 😂
Hey Med Twitter, it’s been brought to my attention that a batch from the 2019 class of Unilag (CLAXIX) are awaiting induction following their resit exams in Aug/Sept 2021.
Their mates have gone for HJ and they’re still waiting even after paying.
(1/2)
If they said compulsory residency now, we can say there was an iota of sense being used when writing the bill.
But no. They’re basically proposing that doctors remain interns for 5 YEARS.
Because what is a doctor without a full license?
