anyone saying it’s beyond repair - you are wrong. When I qualified in 1997 the service was like it is now- all the time , huge numbers of people waiting long times - money and appropriate clinical targets changed everything in just a few yrs- tories want you to think it’s over
I’m a GUM/HIV consultant. I was redeployed to COVID ward for several months, see patients who haven’t had covid tests/vaccines daily.I have had 3 vaccines, eligible family vaccinated. One child not eligible, now diagnosed with COVID, now I have to isolate.

Completely agree - your experience is awful and unforgivable - I’ve been here before and believe the same care and good practice can be delivered again, so sorry for the awful experience you are having 💗

There’s no evidence that’s a persons ethnicity is related to their propensity to commit crime. There is however a shed load of evidence that a persons ethnicity makes it more likely the will go to jail/ serve longer sentences than white ppl who commit same crimes.

There is something very small about this countries psyche which is being stirred up by the media and politicians for their own means. It’s embarrassing and humiliating- if only I had European relatives close enough to claim - french and Irish ancestry but to long back 😩
Thinking about all the nurses and support workers on strike today - I hope you manage to stay warm on the picket line. We’re with you and we thank you for your constancy, compassion and bravery ❤️❤️❤️

To all those following - YES this is an emergency AND yes sexual health sector does need additional resource to manage this emergency - sexual health services had a £150m reduction since 2013.this has been seen as reduction in nurses, doctors , receptionists and support workers
This is a serious development that requires an equally serious shift in gear from the Government.
To prevent Monkeypox becoming endemic, the Government needs to urgently increase vaccine supply alongside a major communication campaign to alert the public to the risks.

Had a bit of an upsetting day - 2 young men , together, not from UK, newly diagnosed with HIV ( ie today) tears and sadness. Couldn’t help thinking if only they have known about PrEP. We talked about ‘gods own country’ - it was relevant. 😢

Very upsetting to watch - not surprised but we need to acknowledge there is a real problem with the way people of colour are treated in this country and in London it seems black men are especially vulnerable to being treated aggressively without cause 💔no wonder he was scared

Also in addition to all the other very valid points, being good at passing exams, which is essentially what gets you into ‘top unis’ categorically does not make you a good doctor. It’s possible to scrape through every exam you ever sat and be an excellent doc.
@Dr2NisreenAlwan
I am sympathetic to this, do think we need to discuss but… having organised scientific conferences… it’s literally twice as expensive to deliver F2F and hybrid. You must offer two rates and massive risk if not enough people opt for the significantly more expensive F2F
