@tibo_maker It also forces me to check every single output before accepting the change, even though it slows me down, it’s the price I pay to ensure there won’t be any regression. Super annoying. Sometimes I have to tell it “do not change any other part of the code” 😅

@tibo_maker happened to me a few time and I have decided to add and run test suites for each build, just to ensure it hasn’t broken/deleted a whole feature that was not even part of what we are currently working on!

@tom_doerr This is my experience as well. The larger the context gets the more error it produced. It’s still a hit and miss even with Claude sonnet

@BusMark_w_Nika @neilpatel Just curious which part of the infographic made you reach decision to learn to code? I thought I need to start blogging.

Rafael Nadal. I used to see this Federer guy everywhere and wasn’t moved until one day I read in the sport section of the newspaper that he was beaten by a guy called Nadal. And then few months later I saw the same headline. That’s how I started following Tennis, it’s been 15 years now.

@catalinmpit Tests are required for complex implementation that must never break, essential for other complex logics but becomes redundant for the remaining parts of the code.

@JulieChangRE I have always wanted a big home until I heard a very wealthy person said it distanced their interaction with their children. The bigger the home the more likely your kids won’t hang around you and each other. Not for me :)

@dlwiest @esesci Every. Single. Time! Every time I have to tell it I am a capable dev pls don’t give me the full code all over again just give me what’s changed since the last code! Super annoying.

@mckaywrigley I hear you! I use them to write client side code quickly and love it, but deploying a Firebase cloud function that interface with a Stripe API isn’t for a new dev, lots of huddles if you don’t know what you are doing.

@mckaywrigley Lol @mckaywrigley I am loving the new excitement around Cursor and other AI tools, but let’s not exaggerate their capabilities 😅

@svpino Eventually the “Cursor bros” will run into scenarios where client side code will not scale, that’s when they’ll run into a brick wall. As a senior dev, you can immediately spot the client side code that will not scale as the database grows.
