One of my housemates died today just at the front door.
I attempted CPR as another called for an ambo. Despite their efforts, my housemate couldn't be saved. Waiting for the next steps until his body is taken. Had to call his parents, not a call I ever want to make again. RIP JP.

Every time I get a text message to say I have a new message in my MyGov account I panic. Coming up to 4 years unemployed after 30+ years in the workforce. Too sick to work, not sick enough for disability. Still have to attend multiple appointments, each takes up a day. No idea!

I'm trying to return to work after 3 years off. In the years leading up 2019 I'd been suffering from chronic respiratory problems, I was sick so much I ran out of all my leave. I was at home sick again when I was made redundant. Do I want to go back to work? Yes! The old way? No!

It was hard not seeing mum before she passed last year but we are in a fucking pandemic & it's not over yet. My sister couldn't come down for the funeral. People have been suffering but to express glee at a situation that is likely to increase death & suffering is just fucked up.

Possibly wouldn't have started rehab in Jan '20. Didn't realise how much harm I was doing to myself. The issues I was self medicating for still linger, (they have since childhood). But I have a clarity of mind I haven't had in years. Coming up to 2 years off the beers. Take care.

It's been disappointing seeing people bagging Albo & Labor for not getting enough done as quickly as they'd like. The reverse wedgie is a first as far as I know. Albo hasn't been building chook sheds or cooking curries, he's been getting thing done. Dutton will look like Scrooge.

Scheduling the ads on 2GB, 5 years ago I was accused of alcohol abuse and was warned I could be breath tested in the office. I wasn't drinking at work, but the threat remained. Why should it be different for those planning for the present and future of Australia and its peoples.

Did a home reno in the 90s, sanded something I shouldn't have. My medical team have been watching a spot on my left lung for 20 years now. It's not a hysterical panic about Asbestos. It's a slow painful one. The spot gets a millimetre bigger every year. Every day is a good day.

Known a lot of people over the years, always so busy, staying back often. Busy, busy, busy - wasting time. Half an hour to make a coffee, 20 minutes here & there chatting about sports/TV, etc, 10 minutes to make a photocopy, planning lunch from 10:30. Always busy, doing nothing.

I'd rather risk a few donkey votes than have a large part of the population not voting. We Aussies often joke we're apathetic, 'She'll be right mate', but most do take an interest rather than simply to avoid a fine. The voting turnouts in the USA are abysmal, that's not democracy

Divorced twenty years this long weekend, a long couple of decades. Did everything I could to ensure my children (hers & mine) were looked after. Paid what I had to and then some more. Kept a spare room with an empty bed. Never bitched. Never asked awkward questions. Kids first.

Moved out of town to be closer to nature - the big old gums, possums, birds of all kinds and then people come along & build something like this. No trees, no shelter for wildlife or food sources - all gone for a sterile glass & concrete box. This is why we can't have nice things.

When I went into rehab in January 2020 they took a photo of me. Normally at completion this would be displayed to all participants as the recovering person gave a speech & went on their path. Covid changed that & I haven't seen the pic. Not sure I want to. Feeling good now.

Was having trouble getting the BBQ going last night, went around the back of it with a match. It's an unusual feeling having no eyelashes. Won't need to trim the eyebrows for a while too. Maybe it will inspire new growth on the top of my head. Glad I didn't end up a red head.

Wonderful, normally people ain't no good. In a rush yesterday and tried to push in front, customer in front offered to pay for my one purchase (which I had change in my hand for), a second teller opened. Thanked the person for their kind offer. It ain't hard to be nice.

A friend touched up a selfie but I'm a hell of a lot healthier now than 3 years ago. Big shout out to all the nurses & hospital staff, working today or throughout the season. I think I may have been an impatient patient, thank you for putting up with me. Thank you for everything.
