@MikeJMacco @FixingEducation I'm guessing just about everyone is guilty of it. When something doesn't interest us, we look for an outlet!

@TaxHacker @BrianDavisTax I know... but you need to play it off that licensed in IL is your lie in your profile (so that everything else can be truth)! Sometimes the joke doesn't land via tweet very well.

@TaxHacker @BrianDavisTax "Dashingly good-looking tax advisor to the rich and famous." - @TaxHacker We all know you aren't really licensed in IL!

Recap: 1. Dept of Ed is statutory (can't be wiped out through EO by Trump) 2. PSLF and IBR are statutory 3. Could slow down processing times/cut staff 4. PSLF Buyback could get cut 5. Income recertification will likely happen much sooner than anticipated for all borrowers. 5a. Come up with your plan for IBR or ICR now. 5b. Consider an extension of 2024 tax return to use 2023 tax numbers. 5c. Payments will rise for a WHOLE bunch of people.

@StudentLoanAdv @olsonplanner @justindubinmd Haha! We all hope it can't go away simply by the swipe of a pen... But crazier things have happened.

@olsonplanner I'm less concerned about PSLF "going away" and more concerned with the rules around who qualifies. I believe (although not 100%) that those rules would require much less congressional decisions.

@ChelscSenior @StudentLoanAdv @JoeJackson2345 @olsonplanner @justindubinmd I'm seeing all sorts of various timeframes. Most seem to be happening in 2-3 months, though.
