@n_docs I felt that way - I was reluctant to lose 8000 followers for a start - but I have to say that I feel refreshed by the experience and I’ve already got over 200 followers in the Good Place. You should come on over. No ads, no bots and as far as I can tell, no bigots or racists…

It makes a nice change to be able to write the following sentence in a client's report: "John and Eliza were evidently living a comfortable life." I seem to spend most of my research time at the opposite end of the social scale...

@humblehist Pridden resigned in 1797 and initially his replacement, Manley Wood, did a pretty good job of keeping up the standards, although by 1812, he'd lost his way a bit. Still, perfectly acceptable in comparison with a lot of registers we find ourselves up against!

I don’t know how many people I’ve traced over the years who had a connection with Fleet Street and the parish church of St Bride’s but it always seems to crop up in my research. But before today I’d never been inside the church. To describe it as stunning is an understatement…😍
