I love history and heritage (duh) and it deserves to be protected. But see this for what it is: a non-harmful awareness-raising stunt
This is not an attempt to justify what happened at Stonehenge today, or even to change anyone’s mind about it. I’d simply like to add some context that I feel has been missing from some reports, statements and tweets.

I don't know the specifics of this (because I don't know Orkun from Adam) but Oxford recently advertised for a full time Philosophy lecturer with a salary of £14k per annum. So it wouldn't surprise me if "too little" translates to "below the poverty line".
