@Billmorgan82 Almost certainly. This shouldn't be a zero-sum game, but while I get why bringing down elective waits is highly desirable for various (good) reasons, I think I'd be focusing more on UEC... But the reality is that we need to make progress on both.

It also shouldn't be under-estimated how intrinsic social care reform (extra support, better salaries & career paths, more funding) is to alleviating some of the demand on #NHS The first phase of the commission needs to expedite the more immediate improvements that can be made.

Good to see Govt trying to grip the long over-looked issue of #socialcare reform. While I can see why cross-party consensus is desirable, I wonder how realistic that will be given the commission reports a year out from the election. The govt has a large majority and should use it
