They've had the target of cutting car kilometres by 20% by 2030 in place since 2020. It is now 2025. Traffic has returned to pre-pandemic levels, public transport use has fallen. Five years to go and it's time for a "conversation"? Looks like another climate target is toast.

A really odd one.
Hundreds of workers lost their jobs when Pladis - a Turkish-owned confectionary conglomerate - shuttered its Glasgow biscuit factory in 2022. In a bizarre twist, the company can now be identified as the source of a secret £1m donation to Glasgow City Council.
